@canitbe I was not able to attend the Spring Admit session. Was there any important information regarding Spring admission, orientation or the waitlist?
is anyone doing random for their roommates?
has anyone else heard about people getting off the waitlist yet… I know one student got the call about a week ago that they are off and they are going in the fall I was wondering if anyone has heard yet even though May 1st is tomorrow when they usually start to tell people.
i got the call from them about getting off the waitlist on April 24, which i didn’t expect at all because I thought they wouldn’t notify people until after May 1st but I accepted !
@lpd2517 what school did you apply to? We’re you originally accepted spring or just waitlisted? And are you in-state?
I got a call to be put off the waitlist on April 30! It was crazy, a day before inserting my deposit to another school! So if you are waiting, they’re probably still calling if they have not gotten those positions filled
Did they give you a deadline when you had to accept?
Does anyone have a list of things that students need to get for their Binghamton dorm room?
Yes, They gave me a 24 hour period to reply… @carrie1830 because many others are waiting for that spot too
Here’s the Binghamton checklist @H0llyw00d https://www.binghamton.edu/residential-life/living-oncampus/what_to_bring.html
What were your stats?
@jamescav29 not that great tbh, I’m super surprised. Going for political science with a 1200 SAT: 660 ENG, 540 MATH.
94.6 Weighted GPA. Extracurriculars: Pres of Student Council, Pres of Class, Sec of NHS, Interact for one year, some PAC, and much community service. I come from a rural school which does not offer much rigor and I am a hispanic female but I’ve taken all the AP class my school has to offer. Pretty surprised, but very content with the decision. Hope all goes well for you!
Thank you @Shazers22
HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE WAITLIST SINCE MAY 1ST?!
FYI… DD (admitted for spring) just recd email stating that they were unable to offer her a space in the fall.
For those who were accepted-congratulations. A word of advice with regards to the list of what to bring for the dorm. Bed Bath and Beyond has a program where they partner with pretty much all major colleges. Go to their customer service desk, tell them which college you are going to and they will pull up the list. Order the items in your local BBB and pick it up at a location near your college. Saves tons of time since you don’t have to pack this stuff to take with you and also saves room in the car.
Admitted early action for comp sci and engineering
SAT: 1340 (710 eng 630 math) 4.0 gpa
Good luck everyone and if I go here can’t wait to get to know you guys
Hi EUVE69, I’ve seen your posts Re:accounting. Did your son end up at a state school? Do you still think that an accounting degree is not worth private tuition? That recruiters are more concerned with GPA? I’m going through this now and am curious to know if you changed your mind, or not. Thanks!
@tucktuck17 17 My son is an Accounting Major in the SOM if there are any questions he can answer for you.
@babysladkaya @Shazers22 Could you please confirm if they call the student or parent regarding getting off the waitlist? It would be helpful to know what to expect. Thank you!!
