If I want to submit additional achievements between now and the SCEA result date, is it worth it? And if I were to do so, what would I fax them ( I found out I won an audition and was accepted to the All-Eastern Band).

Thanks.

personally, i think its a bit late. they might have already reviewed your app and decided to accept you… so this might not change anything. but idk for sure, so maybe get some other comments. definitely, if you get deferred, you should update them. but for scea decisions, imo it’s too late… since they have 5 days (really 3-4) left, it’s probably not gonna make a difference. u could always send it in and its there choice if they look at it or not, i guess, but they might get annoyed for the last min update…

I believe it’s too late, as they probably have made a majority of decisions already. If you get deferred, send an update.

I agree with the above posters.

I’d have to disagree. I’ve been in contact with the admissions office over the past few days checking to make sure a letter from a professor I worked for arrived. When I asked on Thursday, it hadn’t. However, the admissions person I spoke to assured me that if I had my professor fax it over over the next couple of days, that it would most definitely be read and considered as part of my SCEA application.

If it’s something big, then send it. If it’s something small and minor that might just bother them, it’s a totally different story, but if it’s something you would have sent at the beginning, then do it now.

burningflame, do you think winning my state’s all-state audition and being accepted to the all-eastern band is significant enough to send?

Hey Ambience! I actually found out that I was accepted into All-Eastern (chorus) last week as well and sent an update to the admissions office for SCEA. I first emailed to ask about how to send the update, and the admissions office just told me to describe the award in a brief email. I’m sure a fax would work too. You should send the update!

Cool. I guess I will send it tonight. Thanks.
