I live in Wisconsin, and I started my college career in the Fall of 2014 at UW-Waukesha, a 2-year campus within UW Colleges. I am now transferring, and I have been admitted to UW-Milwaukee, UW-Whitewater, and UW-Madison.
I am an Accounting major, and I am currently enrolled in courses in Madison and Whitewater, however BBA admissions from Madison have just been released. I have not been offered admission to the BBA program. Madison was my primary choice with Whitewater as my alternative.
I have an opportunity to reapply to the BBA at the Wisconsin School of Business (UW-Madison) in the Spring. However I do not want to take that option because of how competitive admissions can be. I was on the edge of switching majors to Economics.
If I switched my major to Economics, I could pursue my degree at UW-Madison because Economics is within the College of Letters & Science.
The reason I was considering this switch (although not thoroughly confident if I will) is because I have learned that I have a strong passion for Principles of Microeconomics, Calculus, and Business & Economic Statistics, all which I have performed academically stronger in than Intermediate Financial Accounting (also known as Financial Reporting I).
Should Madison be out of the question for my career at this point? If so, what is your recommendation between
UW-Whitewater and UW-Milwaukee?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
