@alexadreams I believe they should still be sending them. I don’t think they have off that day. If anything decisions should come out Thursday. Since its cutting it close to April I know they will soon start making multiple waves per week.
@Tohoforever I still believe you have a good standing. I applied to similar schools as you (Rutgers, University of Delaware, NYU) and the turnout was pretty good. (Waitlisted by NYU). They like diversity in regards of culture and academics which you prove to have.
Hi everyone! PLEASE STOP FREAKING OUT lol. A college admission or rejection is not going to make or break your life. Everything happens for a reason. I was rejected by my top 3 schools, and I got into Syracuse. I have a 3.5 GPA and an 1850 on my SAT. Not the best stats, but I believe I stuck out to them because I am Armenian, and I wrote a lot about how much I loved the program at Cuse. There is still hope! And if you don’t get in, it’s not meant to be. Keep your spirits high.

ACCEPTED TO SYRACUSEE! I actually wasn’t considering the school much until they named me as one of this year’s University Scholars, and accepted me into their Honors College. It’s now my top choice, since Newhouse (which I applied to) is one of the best communications school in the nation. However, FA + Scholarships still leaves about 37,000, which is a lot…
Just a thought !! Since Syracuse initiated not 1 but 2 ED’S this year I’m wondering if their Freshman class has been filled and the next “wave” will be Waitlisted only since the first seemed to be Acceptances and a majority of the second wave were Denials .Something to think about .If anyone has any other theories please share them .Thanks

I haven’t heard back yet, but some people from my school and a lot of others heard back (including some of you guys) and got accepted. Should I be worried?
@saashah I am in the same boat as you. The wait is tiresome, but not getting the decision doesn’t mean you are rejected. So, it’s a fifty-fifty.The wait is definitely irksome,but think positive. The admission decision should have come in late march according to SU, but there is still a day left. Lets keep our hopes up as it could also go into the first week of april.
Is there a certain day they have to tell us by?
@skylarmcc I don’t know but a lot of people from my school already heard back as well as others but I haven’t yet…
To be frank, I just think they’re disorganized. The final traditional day to hear back is April 1 … but anyway they are pretty far behind others (in fact all others in our household)
Yup. They are really disorganized to say the least. They should be giving out our decisions soon and not delay like this. 
Syracuse is the only east coast school I applied to, so I simply assumed east coast schools take a bit longer to get back to their applicants. Yet a friend of mine heard back from his last two schools (east coast) in the past week. Fingers crossed Syracuse can send out more waves before Easter! I’d rather not be worrying about it all of my spring break lol
@Acg2019 Thank you! It may have been my essay, I wrote about my brother who passed away 3 years ago. But I didnt play the pity card, it was a difficult essay to write and show that I grew from the experience and would fit in well at 'Cuse. I was accepted to Whitman! Undecided on major, but most likely entrepreneurship or finance. Have you heard back yet?
@xdianabby no word yet, i’m waiting for any kind of answer before i move along with illinois (urbana) for film studies and production. I didn’t apply for newhouse because of its competition, just the film and journalism program, it still required a supplement though. My interview went spectacular, my sat is decent (1780) gpa unweighted 3.5 weighted 3.6 and I have done live interview for public access tv with the congressman, mayor, and run the student news which is also on our local channel 6 every thursday, i also do the weather forecast. I hope me lots of experience and internship makes me stand out.
@Acg2019 smart choice! You could have listed Newhouse as a second choice though, but it is highly competitive. Your stats are in the average, you should be fine! And the extra curriculars are amazing. If anything, I know Syracuse looks for diversity in a student. Be positive, you have a great chance
