I’m taking this semester at a community college as I did not do great at the 4 year I was previously at.
I’m taking Spanish 101 at the community college, but I already have credit for Spanish 101 at my original college. I’m struggling a lot and it is going to be very hard for me to pass.
Nobody at the community college offices seems to know. Could I withdraw from that class and take the “F” penalty and have it not count towards my GPA as I already have credit for that class?
It depends on what you want the grade to count or not count towards. For example, it won’t count toward your GPA at your current school, and it won’t count toward your GPA at your next school, should you transfer. But it might “count” in terms of being admitted to a school you want to transfer to - or it might not, depending on the school.
It’s normally to take the WF than to get an F, so if you can still withdraw, you might think about doing so.
I’m curious as to why you needed to take Spanish again? If you can withdraw, do so.
