Taking Ap exams in college

Hey Guys!!
Well this question might sound stupid but i wanted to ask whether we can take AP exams after the first year of college???lol ( to complete basic requirements)

Are you planning to self-study for a year, then take the exam? It would take half the time to just take the college-level class…

If you will already be in college, have you considered CLEP (college level exam program). You will need to see if your university will accept this credit.

@bodangles I forget to register for some AP’s( physics, chem etc.) of which I have basic requirement courses. Also these are basic requirements for engineering and i can take them any time in the 4 years So i have basically done the the Ap prep in 12th so i might just need probably 1-2 weeks before the exam. and I plan to take the exam next summer( if it is allowed lol).

@JazzyTXMom Yes my university accepts CLEP Credit. When can i take clep exams ? and are they available at international test centres (india)??

In the United States, prospective engineering students would either take those intro classes during their first year or move ahead using college credit, meaning that you can’t move ahead unless you already have the classes/exams completed. Is this not the same in your country? Are those basic classes not required as background for more advanced ones?
