Taking prereqs during the winter/summer

Quick question...Anyone know if the UCs look down at this at all?

you have me worried...I never thought of this until now.
I took 16 units over the summer.

They do not look down upon it at all..its just a regular semester.

However, lets say if you were going to transfer fall 09 they can't take into account the classes you took summer 09 because you would have already been admitted.

Yeah, I know they won't accept classes you take the summer before you transfer. However, I do remember someone saying here before that taking major prereqs during the summer/winter isn't particularly looked well upon.

I dunno, I have never heard that before. I would think it would be the opposite because it shows your eager and really want to be at the school of your choosing fast.

I was worried abt this b4 my summer started also nd i asked around and only class that might be looked down is the english class, especially when its fulfilling GE requirement . but if you are talking about the major prereq. then i say... as long as u got good grades dont worry :)

Can't speak on behalf of winter sessions, BUT summer courses are just as equal to fall and spring semesters. Took 16 units this summer, take my word for it.

I dont think it hurts at all, THEY look at the fact that you are getting closer and closer to your degree = good.
The more you have done the better right?
