How does it work for transfer students? Does your application go to an admissions committee first to be admitted to the university? Or does it just go straight to the department you are wanting to major in? Or both?

@aggiebound1996 It goes to admissions. They make sure you have the qualifying requirements for TAMU then they send to department. That is what I was told when my daughter transferred in spring of 2017. Admissions makes no decision, just a check mark basically.

@AggieMomhelp hey it’s me again lol I was just wondering if you knew how competitive the major I chose is (Human Resource Development)? I know most people who apply to tamu are wanting engineering or Mays but still idk. I thought maybe as a former aggie you might have an idea??
