TAP bashing, just kidding... or am I?

He's not his buddy guyy

you want to refute my statement about "an argument is an argument" and the TAP thing from a few posts ago or do you want to ignore it because you know im right?

arguments are all subjective, I was just saying that anyone who looked at the statistics I posted objectively couldn't refute that what oorah87 asserted about the 3.4 TAP > 3.8 TAP being an exaggeration.

If you didn't care, you would have stopped right there.

lol, cool you can point out typing mistakes on the internet.

I'm pretty sure I can find numerous mistakes throughout your syntax browsing through your posts, as you can with mine. So shut it right there hypocrite.

And going...

Face it, no one cares what you have to say.

Also, your example of the person getting into Cal with a 3.56 with TAP is null. UCB does NOT look at whether or not you are TAP certified. They don't care.

I know you have a hard time reading...so I bold these statements for you. That's all.

^ i have a feeling he is going to reply. lol

chang, the op's initial post was centered all around UCLA. I was combating the argument of TAP not mattering for UCLA, nobody said anything about Berkeley. It's like two people arguing about Republicans and Democrats and you jump in with some Populist party bs that isn't relevant whatsoever.

NO CRAP UCB doesn't have TAP, I was just providing the full college app for accuracy, your argument = fail. EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM OBVIOUSLY KNOWS THAT TAP ONLY REALLY MATTERS FOR UCLA, IF YOU ARE TOO THICK TO REALIZE THAT.. YOU SHOULD NOT POST AT ALL :D

edit: this will be my last post in this thread, I won't view this thread anymore either.
Any personal attacks can be directed at me through pm's, thanks :D

and i was right.

okay, lilxlazyxboi--UCLA cares about TAP, but do they care which school you are trying to transfer from bc some places are harder than others? im not testing you, i really want to know.

I thank you for typing in all caps. It really helped me to understand better the situation...not. I was making sure you knew that TAP didn't matter for UCB. As for the two applicants for UCLA, there are myriad reasons why candidate 3.8 GPA was not accepted. He may have been been tufted. Who knows? It's not an equal comparison when you use two different people with completely different work experience, essays, ECs. Therefore, you providing the "full college app for accuracy" = fail. It's like comparing apples and oranges. It just doesn't work. So maybe you should not post.

I know that some community colleges have priority over others. But, if you're in a community college which does not have TAP, they will take that into account as well and not hold it against you (I think). I'm pretty sure what matters most is that you use all the resources at your disposal. Sort of how they also don't hold it against you if you can't fulfill prereqs which your community college doesn't offer.

Question guys: How do you quote other poster's comments??

@lilxlazyxboi First of all. It appears as if you have something against me. Did I offend you in some way? If I did I apologize.

Next, I really don't understand your logic or intent by posting those stats. I never denied that such statistics existed. By simply pointing out that, given the relative ease of completing TAP (which you yourself stated was quite doable), why in the world would the poster choose a 3.4 over a 3.8? I was arguing for the unreasonable potency of the program as, karabear1 pointed out, not if such cases actually exist.

@ Laguna He's not his guy, friend!

Oorah87 are you referring to me? Why would I accept a 3.4 tap over a 3.8 non tap??? If you weren't so dense, You would realize that Tap is a program UCLA offers to the general public, to take advantage of, Why would they admit some twit that took a bunch of online classes and got a 3.8 over someone that actually put time and thought in the process of going to UCLA, 3.8+ gpa is just numbers on a piece of paper. Tap is like an internship for UCLA. You are a Go getter or you've been Got, you choose.

uh o

ninjastar's post pretty much guarantee's this thread to be at least 10 pages long.

What is with these people?

these people, aren't you the same people? karabear1, you come on here for advice and to give advice I'm just throwing my dice on the table. Lazy you've seen the statistics 3.4-3.6 get in over well qualified applicants. the proof is in the pudding baby.
