TAP's SIGNIFICANCE

My school, College of San Mateo doesn't offer the TAP program. There are other schools around the area that have the TAP program though (Skyline College). Is it worth transfering from a community college to another community college that has that TAP program?

What's your say on that?

btw, feel free to IM me.

I would, if it's not too inconvienent.

If you really want to go to UCLA and if the other schools are not too far, go for it. How far is the next closest CC?

tap is insignificant if your GPA is above the average and your major isnt that competitive

Yams, i looked up mapquest and it calculated how far and how long it would take me to get to each school. going to College of San Mateo, the school i am currently attending, from my house would take 8.9 mi (about 12 mins) by car. going to skyline college from my house would take 6.5 mi (about 12 mins). The thing with Skyline college is, the weather sucks. It's always foggy up there. Too much thugs and whatnot. The atmosphere is also not as chill as College of San Mateo. Btw, College of San Mateo is always sunny and has a nicer campus and nicer people.

hahaha. im right smack in the middle of both.

You must really value getting into a good 4 year if you'd let weather at a non residential college make one bit of difference. Go where it's hella chill dude!

I'd have a hard time deciding too, but I am sure that if you go to the school that has TAP, you'll adjust to it and things won't seem that bad after some time.
But you can always go to the school without the TAP program, and get a high GPA for UCLA. Of course the chances are not as high as TAP but there are TONS of people I know who have gotten into UCLA without TAP(huge range of GPAs too).
It is entirely up to you.

ah.. ill probably transfer to the school that has the TAP program when i actually start taking the honors courses.. haha thanks guys.
