So I found out for Pomona that one of my teacher evaluations didn't get sent in by the deadline, but I emailed them and they said I had till the ninth. On the third of January I spoke to my teacher and she said she would send it by that day, and she did. But whenever I checked my Common App it still says they only have one on my school forms page. Could it be they have it but my Common App hasn't been updated or something? I am really starting to freak out.

It should have updated by now. She may not have submitted it to the common app, but instead sent it to a school. You need to confront her about it. I had a similar problem, where one of my teachers was delaying to upload their recommendation. I checked in with him frequently until finally he had to call their tech support and get it to update properly. You never know, she may not have done it.

You need to check up with her and make sure it all gets finished. Don’t just hope something isn’t updating right and it’ll fix itself.

She did send it by mail, is that why it didn’t show up on my Common App? I thought it was okay to send in evaluations by mail? Should I make her do it online instead?

"You need to confront her about it. " What? Nice tone to set there dyno. Really – how about extending the benefit of the doubt?

Rather than “confront” her, I’m sure you mean: “Ask nicely” right?

Momochan: you don’t “make” her do anything. Mail is 100% fine. What you do is write her a THANK YOU note.

Haha yes T26E4, sorry. My brain is tired >.>. I didn’t mean it in a hostile way, I meant merely bring the fact up to her. I honestly didn’t mean to sound so harsh, and I apologize.

I do not believe the Common App registers mail recommendations though, you will have to let the colleges you are applying to know that she is sending it outside of the Common App. Unless of course she sent the rec to the Common App to upload themselves, in which case I have no idea how that works.

Again, I apologize. I did not mean in any way to be hostile towards your teacher. I just meant to bring it up :).
