Thanks @adlgel! Hopefully today it will arrive. She checks that mailbox everyday!
Out of state EA decisions are coming in. My daughter’s application was complete on 11/4 (due to ACT score delay), her acceptance was in the portal this afternoon.
When you get accepted, does it still say 1 thing you need to do on the homepage? Because I looked under apply for admission and look at my current application and it says decision made university acceptance… Does this mean I’m in!!!
@hellobroos2 When you login to tuportal, what do you see under Next Steps? My son was accepted and he has 2 things he needs to do under Next Steps - the first says "Congratulations on your acceptance . . . " and the next says "You have been accepted that’s great . . . ". Is that what you see?
Under next steps it still says I have 1 more thing to do. But I look under my application status and it says application status: decision made decision: university acceptance
Does it take time to check off the box under next steps or did I not get in haha
And @adlgel the next step is to wait for the admission decision
@hellobroos2 My son’s application status also says Decision Made, Decision = University Acceptance. So it does indeed seem like you were accepted. How long ago did your application status change to University Acceptance?
The portal updated and the next steps shows the two next steps!!! Congrats to your son for getting in @adlgel !!! Thanks again!
That’s great @hellobroos2, glad there’s no question about it now. Congratulations on your acceptance!!
DS saw his acceptance on the portal on 11/3- and is still waiting for his official letter- anyone else from beginning of month still waiting for letter?
@1S1Dforcollege, DD is in the same boat! She saw her acceptance on the portal quite a while ago, still no letter.
I haven’t even asked S if he’s seen his acceptance in the portal. If there’s not a big enough scholarship it won’t matter. We decided not to tell him that a couple of students here got less than they expected. Temple’s still his first choice, but he’s not 100% decided he won’t take the big money at Ole Miss regardless of what happens with Temple.
Has anyone heard back from Temple University yet?
@juliannebeg Yes, people are starting to hear back from Temple regarding acceptance on their portals! It seems there is at least a 2-3 week lag from acceptance on the portal to getting the acceptance package in the mail with all of the scholarship info…
@mstomper, I don’t think my D has looked at the portal either. It is driving me crazy. I’m waiting on that (hopefully) big fat envelope with lots of good scholarship news to travel across the country and across the Pacific ocean to our mailbox!
@palm715, I don’t really care if our S looks at the portal or not since it’s the amount of the scholarship that will decide if he goes there or not. We’re only a couple of hours away in the DC area, so it’ll probably take a couple of weeks to get here.
Hi everybody! I received my acceptance to Fox Business school yesterday
I was just wondering if anybody knows what the difference between the Fox Business Honors program and University Honors program is? Like how can you tell which program you’ve been accepted to?
@QuirkyClarkie Congrats!! I assume you were also accepted into University Honors too?!
From What I know (as a mom of an applicant) University Honors is comprised of many different majors. You are required to complete x number of honors level classes all 4 years (Im assuming these are mostly Gen Ed types) and keep a certain GPA that gets you housing at 1300 early registration and a few other Honors perks.
Fox Honors also has its own x number of course curriculum required for 4 years in addition to regular Honors courses and its own GPA stipulation. These Fox Honors courses are only taught to Fox Honors students so the class sizes are smaller and the material more in-depth etc and are taught in a discussion based format rather than regular style (this is my son’s favorite style of learning- it really developed mastery of material for the motivated students according to him)… They have their own lounge also at Alter Hall and other perks…We were told 2 (?) years ago they accepted about 60 students into the program and that was too many - hard for scheduling and other admin reasons, so they are looking to cap it at 40-50. The admission criteria will change each year depending on the particular class but the avg SAT was 1440 and GPA 3.9 UW …I think you will receive a letter (after you receive your acceptance package to Univ. Honors) inviting you to Fox Honors.
You can email the Fox Honors dept with any further questions and set up a visit with the Fox Honors dept students and staff and even sit in on classes.
I was accepted to Fox, and I am now awaiting my envelope.
Has anyone who applied via the Temple Option received news from admissions yet?
