<p>Yeah, PPU's CRAZY FAST. I auditioned on Dec 9 too - and they sent my letter out on Dec 12 - I of course didn't receive it until Dec 20 or so, but I do live in Korea, and the mail has to route through San Franciso and Japan to get here, so hey...can't complain too much. :)</p>

<p>But it's like what I posted before about getting the ~<em>acceptance vibe</em>~ at your audition. It was pretty easy to gather by the auditors' reaction to me at the audition that I would most likely get in - I'm guessing it's the same for the other kids who got their letters three days later, yes? I'm really very curious about this.</p>

<p>I love the ~<em>acceptance vibe</em>~ because it can give you a whole lot of extra peace of mind you might not have had otherwise. Have any of you who have been accepted so far experienced that? An extra compliment or some kind of out-of-their-way positive response from the auditors that sort of let you know you had impressed them and would very likely be offered acceptance? I got that vibe at both of the schools that accepted me last time around, and then again this time with PPU. But I'm curious if some of the bigger programs like CCM or UM give a vibe out like that at the auditions.</p>

<p>You should know I'm only asking about this so that I can have something to hope for as far as knowledge of where I stand with those big programs (that I would die of happiness if I got into. ;) ) It's sooooooo nervewracking waiting for that freaking letter to come! I'm thinking about changing my mailing address with the schools to a friend's address in the States just so I can find out FASTER! AAAAAAAAAGH!</p>

<p>Auditions aren't even till February and I'm already such a wreck about them... :)</p>

<p>Melsmom, I did not realize that about PSU either. My daughter applied there last year and I recall her getting her application in during early October. She auditioned at the end of Feb. and got her acceptance to the BFA program (and PSU in general) shortly after the audition. She never learned of any academic acceptance at PSU before the overall acceptance following the audition. We knew she could get in academically so it did not matter but just saying that I never heard of learning of the academic admissions in a two step process at PSU (and actually barely any of my D's schools had that two step process either). In fact, I recall the director of the BFA program at PSU saying that once the MT program wants you, they have to make sure you have passed through academic admissions. Perhaps there is something at PSU I don't know about.

<p>Susan,
My d got a letter saying that they received her paperwork and everything was in order, but that she would not know of acceptance til after the audition (but not in those exact words, I could go look it up if anyone's interested.) She liked PSU so much that it was the only ap where she checked off the box that said she would consider another program if she didn't get in for mt, so it could have been a disappointment if she didn't already have other options! Maybe theatrejock applied first, didn't check off mt, and later scheduled the appointment?
