The GPAs that matter most.

I know most people probably have seen this question before but i have come across some varying answers regarding it and i would just like to get a definitive answer once and for all...but my question is...

When a UC determines who they accept, do they factor in(average) the GPA of the semester one currently is in when they receive end of fall grades after the application process or do they just look at the semesters prior to the year one would attend said UC(assuming they are accepted)?

The fall grades are factored into your GPA.

The most impressive thing (other than high grades) you can have on your transcript is an upward grade trend. If you do, they usually place more emphasis on recent semesters.

alright, this is reassuring you guys. thanks.

^If worst comes to worst, you can appeal too, that’s what I’m sure I’ll have to do for UCLA, cause I won’t have a 3.6X until the end of Spring, but it’s due as much to SBCC’s academic renewal policy (while being better than 90% of CCCs, still requires you to wait 2 years before it’s engaged) as the fact that I need just one more semester of solid As. Like lmendoza said, they really like the upward grade trend, so if you can show that, with some good explainations, a nice personal statement and at least one relevant EC, you’re so in.
