The Indian Thread #19

Amen.

Yes, spring break.

@chelsearox

UChicago is most probably around the 19th of March. It’s usually around the same date every year, even though they say it’ll be April 1.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1089043-class-2015-admission-notification-dates-4.html</a></p>

thanks man :)

Good luck to UChicago aspirants. Looking forward to seeing some of you here this Fall.

^ hello stranger! how r u?

^ r u here for a hdg treatment? v can give u 1 if u like.

Paagal Tippu Majnun Sultan, get a life. I don’t have time to waste on you. Bye.

RPI - WAITLISTED for not sending them the ISFS.
Won’t send anyway now.

i couldn’t resist answering this one

I dunno, that essay is completely unlike what i wrote (my essay defied all conventional rules and didn’t even talk about me) but if anyone tried to do that to me (and there’d only be one person who’d attempt to sabotage me like that), then I would very well get my grandfather who is also a Harvard alum(and i don’t have to mention what he does) or my mom’s friend whose brother works AT harvard to check if there was any hanky panky with regards to my application, and if they reply in the affirmative, then I already know exactly who would have tried to sabotage my application, so I could very well go on, get his details from his school, and sue him or get him jailed for doing such a thing. A win win situation for me.

But then of course, his whole fabricated application didn’t manage to fool adcoms at Harvard who’ve probably got enough fake applications from India to recognize what’s real and what’s not, so his poor attempt of sabotage would hardly fool them either.
A word of caution to that person: at the rate you’re going you’re going to screw up big time so change yourself now. You have no idea how deep the waters that you shall find yourself in will be should you try anything like that with me. I shall absolutely destroy all your hopes of a respectable (i ■■■■■■■ when i say this wrt u, but yeah) life. I have no wish to parade my contacts in places that matter, here or anywhere, but I’m warning you like I did the last time you tried to sabotage my reputation. Check yourself NOW.
Surprised that this comes from a girl? But you shouldn’t be! Or need I remind you of last time?

REJECTED Caltech :frowning: signs of things to come?

oh and everyone who’s celebrating my ‘admission’, haha, wait until the results come out! You’re embarrassing me! What if i don’t get in or get waitlist? How awkward a situation for me eh? :stuck_out_tongue:
lol at the tag. Ani’s work right? He’s good. :stuck_out_tongue:
good luck everyone for admissions and remaining exams, see u on 22nd (i seem to be quite bad at keeping my word of staying off cc though :o)!

pp’s warning is awesome. :p

feels like reading the script of a bollywood movie :)

good one pixie!
They need to erect a wall of shame at Birla High School.

Did ANYONE from here get into Caltech with aid? :|

I didn’t apply there, but all my super-brilliant friends with perfect SAT scores, and Olympiad achievements got rejected! Three of them. :|

To those who didn’t get into Caltech- its okay, its not like you don’t have other comparable options! :)

You think he hasn’t screwed up already? Dude, he dropped an year to apply to Harvard and he obv has no chance of getting in anywhere

Wow 3 people with perfect sat scores meaning 2400’s??

I didnt apply for aid and had an Olympiad achievement… really disappointed.

Itsmylife u didn’t apply to Caltech?

Any of you rejected from your safeties? I got handed one from RPI. Good thing I applied to 5 safeties. In your face, Rensselaer.

Greetings,

Just dropped down here to clarify something. PM me if you have something else to clarify. It will be my pleasure and responsibility to answer you.

Pix, I know over the months we have developed some hostility between us, but let me assure you that I am not a wimp or a ***** to do these things. I am as much as happy/ will be happy for your acceptances in the best universities around the world as much as you will be. And if you get (and I am sure you will) I will be proud that at one stage I got this great opportunity to meet a charismatic personality like you.

Good for you pix.

Pix, I am very well aware that a charismatic personality like you, cannot do such a heinous act on her application. I am very well aware of your personality and deep integrity. You have some negative qualities though (like talking too much, getting frustrated very easily), but I am sure your integrity is as good as Swami Vivekanand.

As far as you are concerned about sabotaging your application, let me tell you that I don’t do such things neither will I do in future. Rest assured, you will do great at Harvard.

As a son of a police officer (golabri PS, H-dis, WB), I was taught since childhood, “A penny earned honestly, is infinity times better than a billion earned dishonestly”.

I know what are the implications of faking an application. It is strict for US citizens, but for Internationals it is:

 1. unfair means used to enter US
 2. academic dishonesty
 3. fine = one the amount one has wasted university’s money and a lot more
 4. end of career
 5. jail!!!

Let me assure you that none, yes not even a single word, of my application is fabricated. I am not an idiot to commit such an act. I can prove each and every word said on my application. I can and I will provide required documents by the universities to prove my app true. I can and I will substantiate my words said on app with government signed (received) certificates, other certificates, witnesses, and other required components. I respect and am not worried by the university authentication process. I can face it will full vigor and strength.

Let me reiterate, I can prove each and every word of my app to the school which asks for it. (Recently, I had to, to one university - see at the end what happened)

Also, universities won’t accept an international student until and unless it is totally aware that the applicant is authentic and true. For example, big stuffs of application which matters, are self understood and easily verifiable with certificates, online links, etc, but those small stuffs which can’t be proved does not even matters to them (for example, number of hours of community service).

Tip, its not very far when you yourself will say FAME instead of shame.

Tippu, it is a disappointment to see that you are exposing my personal identity and belittling me at an international public forum.

No, I haven’t.

I am proud that I dropped a year. I am thankful to those who gave me this idea.

Ani, you will be proud to know that I got an unofficial acceptance confirmation from a university which US News ranks as top ten universities of USA.

Oh yeah, they will even meet my full need (which even includes the airfare, LOL    ).

To Everyone:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My book ‘‘Is this India?’’ is going to be published on 10th June in the international market which you can avail from your nearest bookstores and online stores all around the world. I request you all to pray for its success.

One more thing to juniors and gappers,
Aim high, achieve higher. If you have the desire to achieve your goals, no power in the world can stop you in attaining that. Believe in yourself. You can do it, only if you want to.

With this note, I end here.

Thank you
Best of Luck,
Sincerely,
Harisheena

I feel like I’ve been living under a rock.
