Princeton SCEA decisions in 24 hours 50 minutes! Good luck to anyone who applied :)

Haha no Alea ![]()
It’s just a whim, I guess. Or you could say I want to detach myself from Earthly competition; but that would be stretching it :p

Why don’t you have a location?

My daughter is applying to WPI through Common Apps.It requires the High Counselor’s name address etc.She Studies in Indian CBSE School and their school doesn’t have any counselor.
Is it possible to complete the application without filling these details. Can someone advise please

I think it would be ok to give the School Principal’s name and other details with his/her consent of course.

Manrosh: Since we don’t have ‘official’ counsellors, your school principal or class teacher could be the counsellor. Fill their details in the CA and ask them to do the counsellor recs and uploading work.

For those who wished me good luck: I got accepted SCEA to Harvard !
Thanks to everyone for all the information I gathered here.

Alea! Congratulations! You must be really happy :)

Is Harvard your top choice? Or are you keeping your options open?

In any case, this calls for e-celebration :D

Edit: I find it funny how you posted your decision here first, rather than the Harcard Decisions Thread :D

Alea; Congrats and all the best to you

congratulations AleaJacaEst!

manrosh - You need someone at the school to take the responsibility and fill out the forms and write the rec as the counselor. It is mandatory to designate someone to continue in commonapp.

Thank you. Of course I am happy! I think I will still apply to MIT but I am not sure which college I really want to attend.
Tizil: I posted here before the official harvard thread specifically for you ;)

Alea - where are you located?

^Paris, France.

Wow. I am so happy for you :)

OMG! Thats’s BRILLIANT! CONGRATULATIONS ALEAJACTAEST!
WOW!! ![]()
All the best for future! :D

Merci, Merci, Merci to all.
We have 3 more months at least to share here. Don’t say goodbye to me so soon ;)

Alea may I know which major you have applied in Harvard

Aww Alea, that is so good of you :)

Brussels just saw it’s first snowfall for the winter. I’ll take that as a symbol of your success ;)

Ah. There are no goodbyes on the Indian Thread! Just short hiatus’.

@Manrosh: I mentioned CS as probable major
@Tizil: This is precisely what makes you an indian: symbols and signs in every aspect of life!
I love snow: in fact I am going to ski for a week in Tignes during holidays.

Haha, I am not very serious about symbols (you should check the chinese thread for that
) but it feels nice to think about things differently.

Skiing, huh? Sounds fun! The last time I tried skiing … oh god … never mind :p

If I open my legs too far apart, I stop and if they are too close, I speed up and fall by my side haha :D

@AleaJactaEst:

■■■■! that’s just brilliant. and surreal. wow. heartfelt congratulations to you

Question: what are the acceptance/rejection/deferral rates for Harvard SCEA? If anyone wants to know, for Princeton SCEA they are approximately 21% accepted, 21% rejected and 58% deferred (:O). I never knew deferral rates could be this high…
