Hmm. Well I updated it. I have trouble thinking they don’t really care, since my winter quarter was 100% UCLA pre-requisites, haha.

@Sanda

I think the admission counselors we spoke to meant the same thing… basically they won’t consider grades from winter '10. I agree, it is a good idea to update your grades if they were strong. Even if they don’t officially consider them, maybe a glimpse will convince them to admit us :)

@arcadefire

haha yeah…it does suck…I did 1 pre-req and got a 4.0!! kinda ****es me off lol

@ cali

sure hope so!

This quarter actually dropped my GPA a bit, haha. Nonetheless, since it was all major prereqs, I think I’ve gotta update it…too late anyways!

I am getting out of the military this summer and I didn’t get into the school I wanted, UCSD. I did get admitted to UCR, but I wanna transfer to UCSD because I want to do Bioengineering. I have looked it up on the internet and heard from word of mouth UCSD is in the top ten schools in the country for that major. How would I go about transferring and how difficult would it be to transfer from UCR to UCSD? I have heard about the TAG program at CC but with the gi bill I’m not worried about money so taking that into account, would it be easier to transfer from ucr since it would be hard to get a lot of prereqs at a CCC?

Hey guys. So Im a UC to UC transfer applicant and I was wondering if anyone here has heard back from UCI yet. I got accepted to UCSD in the first wave but I still havent gotten any response from UCI. Does UCI normally take this long for UC to UC transfers?

i havn’t heard from UCI either.

So how’s it going fellow UC’ers? Any news back from the schools? I’ve got nothing (except a denial from UCSB…I spoke to the admissions counselor and she says she believes a mistake was made. So, I’m still pretty much in limbo there still, haha.)

It going pretty well for me (so far lol). I applied to UCI, UCSD, and UCLA. Got accepted to UCSD in the first wave. Still no word from UCI which is stressing me out lol (It kinda my first choice). And UCLA wont say anything for a little while longer as expected. As a side note Im applying from UCR as a math major.

Hi, I am currently attending UCR and trying to transfer to UCSD, UCI, or UCLA and I have a question.
I am currently taking English 1B which is 2nd quarter of english sequence at UCR.
Do I have to finish that by the end of summer or fall?
I saw this thread today saying that this guy was rejected 3.6 at UCSB with lack of english classes and math.
Btw, I am applying for Econ for all the colleges and my GPA is around 3.9 right now. Finishing up my macro and micro by spring and taking first quarter of calc this spring quarter.

Applying from: UCSD
Applying to: UCB, UCLA
GPA: 3.55
Major: Cognitive Science

I was planning on changing my major to the biology sections, but what major is the better choice in terms of transfer rate w/ my GPA, biological sciences or cognitive science? And, if anyone has info on the legal profess. major at Berkeley it would be appreciated.

Applied from UCSC and I haven’t heard anything from UCD. Just got my official notice saying my request for deferring my spring application to Cornell has been accepted for fall, so I’m basically just waiting for UCB/UCLA and a few privates now.

So you got into Cornell?..or is your application now under review for fall?

Yeah I was accepted for fall 2010. I was originally accepted for spring 10, but I made a request asking them if they could defer my actual admission to fall because I wanted to find out about other schools first. Then yesterday I found out that they officially changed my enrollment to fall.

Congrats dude!

One of my friends (also at UCSC) applied there and really wants to attend, but his stats + ecs are not nearly as solid as yours. What is your top choice (including UCSC)?

Thanks! I think my order is: UCB, UCLA, UPenn, Cornell, Davis. Not sure if I’d take UCSD or UCI over UCSC anymore.

Awesome, so do you believe at this point that you are transferring for sure?

For me, I am pretty much 100% planning to transfer somewhere. Hopefully I’ll get accepted to one of my top 3 (UCD, UCLA, Cal), but I’ll settle for UCSD if all else fails.

Yeah, I had to make that choice when I was picking out my spring courses. I could have easily taken 3 upper div econ courses and I would basically be done with the BME major (think 1-2 courses left). I decided that this might be useless if I end up transferring, so I just took more computer engineering/physics courses in case I want to double major when I transfer.

Would you still take UCI over UCSC?

duddeeeeeeeeeee. y is uc to uc transfer so slow to get a replyyyyyy
