YOU’RE DISCUSSING THE TEST!!!
reports to collegeboard

Why… so… serious, lockn?

ah i did sparta on apush and bio last year,
now i need to figure out how to incorporate “why so serious” into an english essay and have it make sense, and then the two econs on thursday somehow

You might be able to just open or close an essay with that quote. But note that if it in any way fits the prompt, thousands of other people will also use it.

essay portion?! what essay portion?

I suck at reactions… I think I got the questions about the reactions right, but not sure about the actual reactions… I left most of the stuff in.

“i’m pretty comfortable with the multiple choice “cut-off” for a 5 being around 50 or higher. but does anyone have a rough estimate for the free response section? maybe how many parts you can miss or how many points can be taken off to still get a 5 with a good multiple choice score?”

Could someone answer this question? I think my MC is my saving grace, but I feel like my FRQ will kill my 5 T_T

We were talking about AP English I think.

FR you need around 66% as well. since theres 80 points – you do the math :p

parts 1-3 were worth 16 points each, part 4 = 8 points, part 5 = 15% i think…

you need around 54, so that means you can miss about 2 whole free response sections… and a little more.

A lot of people are saying the ap chem test was easy this year — do you guys predict a significantly higher curve? maybe 110+?

^ Better not be, but it is possible =(

well…i hope not…cuz it was not easy for me.

I hope not, cadillac. I mean this is CC, so I am predicting that collectively we are above average.

NOOO WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK?
I actually thought the MC was harder than usual, especially with all the weird lab questions… and I missed a bunch of ones on gases heh…

but FR was a lot easier to me than usual.

i know i could scour the thread and figure out this information for myself, but –

i skipped 7 on the MC. say i got 25 wrong. that’s a raw score of 36.75/75. what percent would i need on the FR for a 4? & is 5 still within the realm of possibility?

Indeed. I feel fairly certain I got 2 whole FRQs, and at least half on all the rest EXCEPT the first question, which, again, I kinda bombed. As for the MC, I feel uber confident about.

So got a 4 or 5

(I wish I knew about the “Why so Serious?” thing for this exam. Would have put that on question 1.)

If AP Micro (Thurs) wasn’t so easy, I would do it. However, if there is one I haven’t a clue on, I’ll write it on there. (This exam is so easy…)

uhh… I’d say that’s in the 3 range. But definately in reach of a 4. you would need about 66/80 on the FR for a 5, but for a 4, I’m guessing you would need close to half of the FR right?

I was soo happy when I saw no FRQ on electrochem. This year the topics on the FRQ seemed to be from everywhere, no one subject in particular.

what happens if you get one part wrong (because you don’t know it) but you need that answer to do the next part
would you just get both parts of the question wrong? or would they give you credit for doing the right calculations with the wrong number
