The Official Calling of the Official Decisions Thread... Officially

I'm from GRap, and I have no idea what the MMPC is.

hey i have a xanga too :D but i don't use it that much

edit: i live in ohio, but i live closer to U of M (about 1 hr) than to OSU bleh... U of M wouldn't be that bad if i could get some merit scholarships (stupid out-of-state tuition)

i went to their biomedical engineering day.. it was decent-ish..

haha, yeah, when I decided to get back into the blogging thing last year, I decided to stick with xanga since I'd had one when I was younger and knew how to work it. That, and I don't like how blogger looks. [shrugs] It's a matter of personal preference, I guess, though I think blogger is overall a better site.

lol i would use it more if my friends did

i also have a livejournal, myspace, and facebook. wow.

Oh, I never hopped on the livejournal bandwagon, and I had a myspace for about a week before I shut it down. But I will fully admit that I am nearly addicted to facebook.

Yeah I love facebook and blogger. They're great. The MMPC is the Michigan Math Prize Competition, our state's rip-off of the AMC haha. Wow I live like 40 mins from GRapids. I go there so much, especially for Rivertown Crossings Mall hehe. Ive also played tennis at Grandeville high school (what a nice high school) and forest hills central.

Yeah, no, we don't do that.

What school do you go to? I'm at GR Catholic Central. Woot for being in the ghetto.

I go to Portage Central HS/Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center/Western Michigan University. Haha is that really the ghetto? Knowing GR, your ghetto is prolly nicer than kalamazoo.

@pwafflesprinkles- wouldn't you be an outcast if you chose the wolverines over the buckeyes?

Hey, I've run in your cross country meet. By the way, do you know Caroline Morrell? I think she goes to that Science thing, but I'm not sure.

Well, we're in the "Heartside Neighborhood," which is a nice way of saying "the highest concentration of charities targeting the homeless in the Midwest." People have had their car windows broken over a granola bar and spare change. You don't leave valuables in your car, and it's to your benefit to drive a junker.

@Waffle- do you live in Toledo, then? That's technically Michigan if it weren't for that stupid pig. ;)

Naw i dont know her. Do you know people from our cross country team because i have so many friends on it like poonam d. and melanie k. Haha sounds rough, sorta like Kalamazoo. I've had beggars ask me for money on my way from the parking lot to the door of the high school.

No, I don't know anyone personally. If I'm thinking of the right school, you guys have one of the most massive invitationals we go to. There's no way I'd get to know anyone from another team.

I seem to remember your school being really nice- how's the area around WMU, though?

Yeah Portage Central has a big invitational. Portage is very nice, but Kalamazoo has some pretty bad parts, esp because it is old. Downtown is getting better and WMU has an awesome campus. KAMSC is downtown though and that's where the beggers thrive, but we've got excellent security there, despite calculators/Nintendo systems being stolen.

@niceilike- nah everyone here knows that umich is better than osu academically... not at football though :P

@ducktape- yup! toledo.. well a small suburb off of toledo anyway

Cool beans. I used to live in the western suburbs of Ohio, so when we were moving from Grand Rapids and then back to, we passed through Toledo all the time. We have friends who just moved there, too.

You're in-state for UMich! No fair!! I just have UF... :(

so I'll be refreshing from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm if needed..

ARGH!!!

Lol, I have... Rutgers. Just as bad.

I just finished my last AP physics C test before break. This week consists of studying for all my midterms. Next week = midterms. After that is break.

I'll find out right before midterms, so if I get rejected, I'll totally loathe about it for the weekend and forget about studying for all my AP classes.

Last year, they found out on 12-09-2006, at 11:50 AM.

So.... 11:50 is judgment time.

I'm also applying to JHU ED, so one acceptance will do the trick!

So what is this admit tube i have heard so much about?? I know it comes with a poster but what else? How big is it? Any pictures?
