_______ intrigued (which is least acceptable)

jump rope passage:
-what the narrator had most confidence in doing [jumping in?]
-POV question? [something about it was being an important part of her childhood?]
-which paragraph did she show affection or something

orchids passage:
-purpose
-which factor did the author put most detail into

freedom of speeach passage:
-purpose of first amendment or something like it (i put it protected dissenters or somethign like it)

I definitely thought that the reading was the hardest part of that whole test, and I am usually good at reading.

what the narrator had most confidence in doing. Jumping In

orchids
i put the purpose was to show the micrclimates....household...of orchids (i cant remember how the whole answer went)

Freedom of speech

I put it protected dissenters

What did people get for the science circuit passage where it asked
"which one was used as a power source"
I. Copper wire
II. ...i cant remember what this is
III. Cant remember this either
i put II only

for the jumping rope passage, i put "jumping in" because it distinctly said "jumping in wasn't the problem...we had conquered that years ago. but jumping for long periods of time blah blah was the feat". she felt mOST confident in jumping in.

ummm for that one english question, which one would not work (for the musicians or w/e) i put endow. because that just looked / sounded weird. i wasn't sure about "dishing up", although it was slang...the rest of the passage seemed prettyy casual and not too strict with word choice. that was my reasoning lol, idk.

this ACT was a piece of cake. I didn't study, and i think i got about a 32. No problem, you just gotta get familiar with the test format, that's all. There wasn't really a question that stumped me.

I put unusually. All the other choices, including desirably, had a positive connotation, while unusually makes his interest in diving seem negative. Such an interest should never be unusual or oddball, so the answer is obviously the choice that held the word "unusual". Unusual should be used when describing, say, a passion with poo or something else out of the ordinary. Not diving.

Unusually doesn't have to have a negative connotation. I interpreted it to mean that his interest in diving was unusually passionate compared to his other interests.

Science section was pretty hard. Math was pretty easy. Reading was pretty OK, except I didn't finish. Did anyone get "No Change" for a lot of the answers in the English part? =

Bassmaster: you're wrong. The correct answer was "especially" because there was nothing else that he was intrigued by to compare it to.

also... What did you guys put as your main points / examples for the essay?

Mine weren't that great. I said that the current event course should be required due to uninformed (and therefor politically/socially apathetic) teens and some other stuff that I don't even remember.

I liked this test, but I HATED the circuits problems of the science section. Also, the essay prompt wasnt as easy as December's (but still pretty easy).

am i the only one that thought the math was kinda hard? maybe it was my nerves acting up, but i thought it was much harder than any of the practice sections i've done before!

what'd u guys put for the "deeply" one in english? i kept on going back and forht between putting it after "and" or after something else... i cant remember which one i chose in the end...

and i had to guess in the last minute about some of the science ones! for the last 2 questions in the DNA passage at the end, did u guys get "2 vs.1" and "30"?? (i heard the last one was 20, which is probably right since i had to go off what i remember from freshman bio for that one)

and for the piston passage, did u guys get the two diagrams to look the same? and what about the realtive humidity one?

i screwed that ACT up badly. there are no curves for the act, right?

the classroom environment would encourage open-ended discussion about current events with peers and with the teacher

to counter something said in the prompt, I said the class could analyze, extract, and discuss bias in news articles so that students learn how to find good news sources

I suggested that they write essays discussing current events to improve writing and argumentation skills

it's an excellent supplement to existing social studies curriculum, allowing students to connect past events with present events

and a few other things like that which I'm having trouble remembering. This is the first time I've done the writing test so I'm not sure how I did on it.

endow
1.To provide with property, income, or a source of income.
2.
a)To equip or supply with a talent or quality: Nature endowed you with a beautiful singing voice.
c)To imagine as having a usually favorable trait or quality: endowed the family pet with human intelligence.

The bass player contributed cool backbeats... or whatever thesentence was..

yeah the answer to that one was (0,+/- 6) because 36 is the radius, 6, squared and I also said 20
does any1 remember have answers to the science/reading sections
thanks

today was my first time taking the act... and all in all i didnt find it hard, however, i came out of the room feeling i did bad because of the constraints. For math i didnt do about 3 or 4, reading i screwed up and left like 5 and science i cant remember. But i just remember having to rush through science like anything cuz i wasted my time. Is it unusual for someone not to finish a seciton?
