@ZainSD I thought my ECâs and supplement would get me in. No point in crying on whatâs passed though.
I know of two people who got in. One was deferred in ED but has been accepted in RD. Another one is a US national who applied in RD.
Mac had only 600 seats out of 6000 applicants. That makes a 10% acceptance criteria. Out of which nationals are preferred. So far less than 10% for Intl like us. Plus the aid requirement comes in equation.
@mchaditheyoda Thanks.
@ZainSD I know of two, one from JT, one from Dig, Iâve heard Macâs not that good with aid. I was hoping for this or Bard but that seems highly unlikely and given my poor performance in the LUMS admission test, I might be looking at a gap year.
LUMS is holistic as well
The JT one is a close friend of mine.
Let the crapshoot continue.
@ZainSD what do you mean by holistic? And is that good or bad in my case?
I heard your friend offered to pay a lot.
I am the guy in question.
@mchaditheyoda whereâd you hear that from? I have a pretty huge aid requirement.
As a friend told me, âeveryoneâs going to big placesâ. Now relax. Anyone knows who else got in from Pakistan?
@TheMelonLord Congratulations man! I wonât tell you who told me that but I heard it was twice as much as mine.
Haha, first time Iâve seen rumours about me. You might have confused me for some other guy who got in perhaps.
Thanks! Idk who you are and how much you are offering to pay, so the part where I am offering 2x money than you might well be the case. In any case, LUMS is a tough reach for my financial situation so you can use that as a yardstick. Due to my aid requirement, Iâm not really expecting much from other unis, though this acceptance has dissipated all the tension.
It can be either depending on adcom.
@TheMelonLord Oh I had you confused for another guy who got in. Sorry for that.
@ZainSD Yeah but what did you mean by holisitic?
Just like US uni which are crapshoot, Lums is also a crapshoot
@ZainSD I hardly think thatâs true.
It did happen last. Some highly qualified candidates were rejected and some under qualified were accepted. Anything can happen.
Any clue about Bard decision? They said decisions will be out mid-march but nothing as yet. @mchaditheyoda
Yep, no idea about Bard. @ZainSD
i feel its an uphill battle to get anywhere this year. I hope things pan out decently but insane competition and im losing hope vv fast.
^ Itâs uphill every year.
GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!!!
@livinglife2020 hahaha, ikr? Got a decision today saying I would more than excel at the said college and would be a great fit for them but they couldnât support me financially so they rejected me. In their letter, they even stated that in the event that I got some external scholarship or financial support from âextended familyâ, I should hit them up and they will try to make a place for me. Now Iâm just confused cuz I have 2 rejections already.
@AltoLime Thanks man! But wouldnât you agree that the competition this year is much much more than in the previous years?
