@FLAtoMICH did yours say you got the accepted thing then go away? i feel like ur gonna get in and if u didn’t get that message i feel better lol
sorry to start a frenzy lol…my son found out through the back door for other schools so he tried for UF…the page was exciting…I was just curious if anyone saw it! Good luck everyone!!!
can someone who got that message call UF tomorrow and ask what it means
@Hi1997 my son was going to call but the people that answer the phone wont say anything anyway…
@ufmurphys we saw it a few times…now its gone!
can someone explain how honors and scholarships work at UF?
It seems like every out of state student on last year’s thread got accepted- stats all over the place. What is everyone’s take on this? My view is that they get a lot less out of state applicants than in state, and they supposedly select about 30% of the OOS for admission. So if 30% of their out of state acceptances translates to 3% of the student body, doesn’t that mean that it really should be easier to get in out of state because they have to take 30% of a much smaller pool of people?
How does one get into the honors college at UF
How does one get into the honors college at UF
How does one get into the honors college at UF
Can we clarify that whole thing with seeing an acceptance message and then not seeing it anymore? I’m freaking out :((
@Mfrias To go to UF’s honors college you have to get invited by them. The requirements include a minimum of a 33 ACT and 2070 SAT. Once you get invited there is an online application to fill out as well.
Are there no other out of state people on this thread?
I heard their honors college isn’t that good
@Mfrias I haven’t spoken to anyone who’s in it, not sure how good or bad the program is.
@allthingsamanda is it a 33 ACT AND a 2070 SAT or just one of the two
Or… Not and.
@chicacademy I’m an international student from Brazil, does that count? It’s surely out-of-state, waaaaay out of state, and we pay the same too!
@esereht694290 It’s just one of them you need. If you have neither of them there’s also the petition process to go through. The petition process is the same as the honors program application with an additional essay.
@AGoodFloridian I’m Illinois, lol yeah I guess you count. What do you think about the chances of getting in out of state?
