Keep in mind: only 49 states were represented last year... that means that one state sent no qualified applicants. :P

Yeah like...west virginia or something maybe iowa ;) Hahaha kidding kidding kidding...any guesses?

Massachusetts or New Jersey, perhaps.

:-|

.....schoolreport......still..........not........processed.............

AGHH!!!!

/bangsheadagainstwall

-Oren

CzarDerivative: I'm in the exact same boat as you...aargh. refreshes page again still not processed! lol. maybe its a california thing..i live in orange county....they dont like us westcoast people haha

Another Californian who hasn't gotten everything processed. Well, I reminded my teacher about 5 times this morning to fax the evaluation in, so I MIT should have gotten my stuff.

I'm from Norcal. I bet the post office just looses more mail on the way from here to there. I got my teacher rec B faxed today, so it's all good.

Less than a month and those decisions are coming on in!! Ooh that tension is building!

i'm not checking back here till december 14 haha

woohoo!!!

School report got processed! :-)
Finally.
I guess this means its time to start keeping an eye on the mailbox...

-Oren

hmm i should go check to see if my teacher rec got processed..

So it's November 29; applications should be moving inot selection committee in the next few days. At this point, my Teacher A evaluation has not been processed yet (going to call tomorrow). Anyone who faxed in their stuff just a week ago, are your things processed yet? This IS the time to be scared, at least I think so.

I agree, this IS the time to panic!

You can fax your stuff in, but won't it still undergo delays? Since they must be getting thousands of applications and forms in from RD applicants, I would assume they'll process it in about 3-5 days from sending date (December 2-5). Then they have to read it, along with your whole application, and provide a summary--at least another 3-5 days, assuming its placed in the large queue (December 5-10). Then it has to be assigned to the various discussion groups--it's really getting close.

I'd call MIT and ask if you could fax it and have someone waiting on the other end to sort the forms appropriately. I wonder how they handle situations like these. Do they move it to RD, or do they just mail your decision late December?

I'm so dumb. I forgot to mention that my teacher faxed it in on the 22nd.

That would help! So they must have it, it's just amidst stacks of EA and RD forms in queue to get filed into their respective folders. In that case, definitely call them. Anyone else with a simillar pridicament?

My teacher sent out my rec letter on Oct 28th, and they never got it. So I asked her to fax it last Tuesday. I called yesterday, and they said they still don't have it. So I asked her to fax it again today. I hate this; what is wrong with MIT. I really cannot ask my teacher to send it again.

my teacher sent out mine on nov. 14 and they still haven't processed it.

They processed my Rec B today. Happy.

njchino, I'm in the EXACT same situation. I called and they didn't have the faxed one either today. I have the WORST time ever. I managed to get the direct fax line of one of the admissions receptionists, so I asked my teacher to fax the rec again (this was 4:10 EST). I asked him to call me right after he faxed it. He forgets to call me and I run up to the library where he was at 4:55 EST to ask if he sent it. He said he did, and that he forgot to call me. I call right away, after 20-30 rings and the constant "all our receptionists are busy", I hung up thinking something was wrong. Now it was 4:58 EST. When I call, I got the "MIT's admissions office is closed, these are the office hours...." I have the worst timing (living on the west coast isn't helping).

Yah - Vu. About that PM. I faxed it once, around 5 PM eastern on the Monday b4 thanksgiving, and they processed it today.

How do you know they didn't get it?
