The SENIOR Thread

I am SO much more overloaded than I was in any other grade. Junior year was a piece of cake compared to this year!

lol tkm256, I looooove cheese. My junior year was pretty strressful, but just because I made it stressful. I'm a procrastinator. I always say that I'm gonna change, but it doesn't happen.

I'm the same way. I'm all gung ho for the first week and then I slowly fall back into my old habits :p

Yeah, me too.
I just want the year to be over!

"Who doesn't like cheese? (besides vegans and fatphobic people )"

Haha, I'm a vegan...so I don't really like cheese.

hi to all fellow seniors..
though my senior year is almost over now... YEAA!! i've my A-level finals in oct/nov and then i'm done for good. the ****ty thing is i'm goin to have to be workin on my apps as i take my exams..!

Cheese is like the best thing ever created. Seriously, food doesn't get any tastier than cheese. :p

lol depends. I remember being on a sleeping car with some people who hada German Cheese. The smell was very "peculiar." ;) I have to say it was the worst thing I had ever smelt. We faced a big dilemma cuz u can't open the doors at night(we got on the train at night) due to the possiblities of roobers and the windows couldn't be opened either. Ahh After that NEVER had German Cheese in my ENTIRE life. lol

Cheese is so tasty. I love cheese. I love all kinds of cheese except for Cottage cheese and blue cheese. ughhhh blue cheese.. smells like feet and b.o

if you do self-study for an AP your senior year, how are you able to show the colleges? especially if you're applying ED... because isnt the only way to determine that you did do self studying for an AP by taking the test? i'm not wording things very well, but it is late and i'm tired, so sorry if you're having a hard time understanding what i'm asking

blythe sorry I have no answer I've never self-studied an ap

Cheese is truly the best food ever. Who knew bacteria could make something taste so good? :p

Well, I suppose you could have your counselor mention it and also one of your teachers who knows you well if they're in the department your AP would be in.

(Non-ED, of course) When mid-year reports are sent in, have your counselor mention that you're still studying it and making progress and other things about your initiative, yadada.

I'm going to MAKE my senior year less stressful even if I have ten billion things I should be doing along with college apps and tons of hard classes. Stress is all in the mind, right?

I agree ladyinred. For me, we've paid our dues. I don't want to look back on my senior year and be like, you know I really wish I had studied a little less and had fun a little more. I don't want to look back and wish I could have a do-over. I want to leave this year behind with a bang

I wish I could do-over my 3/4 of my high school career, but I can't so I'm going to make the most of my last year. Haha...I'm kidding myself - I'm thinking like this now, but come monday when school starts, it'll all change in a snap and I'll be back to my usual stressed out, paranoid self.

I have no idea this year is very different for me. Until now there's only been so many ap classes you can take just because of required classes taking room or classes that aren't technically required but you need anyways (like foregin language). But this year I'm taking 5 ap classes, and I don't know how I'll do under that kind of stress. I've never taken more than 2 at one time. But I am setting out to make this a good year :D

i so wanted to get out of taking spanish this year, but no, my gc refused to let me do that. I'm kind of bitter because I hate that class along with the teacher, but I suppose it's all for the better.

AHh...yeah, several of my friends are taking 5 APs which I am so glad I don't have to do.It depends on the rigor of your school, of course, but you'll survive. I took 4 last year and it was painful, but it was nice having the month at the end of the year to do absolutely nothing :D.

i'm in ap spanish 5 and i really don't want to take it. I loved spanish for 3 years but last year my fire died because it suddenly got hard and I couldn't stand my teacher, but the teacher this year is pretty easy, so it's my only motivation to stick with it

They don't even offer ap spanish at my school...which sucks because from what I hear, AP french is not much harder than french honors. I liked spanish for the first two years when it was easy; now I dread it. I hate writing and analysing poems and such. grammar was nice because it was straightforward....i'm really not the language type. I hate english class too...

I'm totally overloaded this year. I unknowingly signed up the two most difficult courses in my school AP Art History and AP Physics. Throw in AP Studio Art, Calc, Lit, plus college apps and you've got your self one hell of a first semester. Once decisions are in I will relax, and once AP Exams are over...I only have to attend three classes (two of which we just watch movies/make hovercrafts and what not). No senior exams, so I'm done on the 19th of May. Graduate on the 27th.

But whoever scheduled the school year deserves a pay raise. They scheduled us for an 16-day winter break, and a 16-day spring break, plus 4 days off for Easter.

Whoopee!
