Small competitive private prep school in South Florida. Class of 2005 was about 170 students. Note: Florida gives significant financial incentives for students to stay in state (in the form of Bright Futures Merit Scholarships - a 1270 SAT will get you full tuition at any state school!)

Wow, you guys have pretty great lists.. my school's is too terrible to post (the administration doesn't make it available to us, bc they believe it to be discouraging..).

I could gather it from facebook or just ask around, but that would require wayy too much effort.

semi-shocking results from a competitive public high school on LI...this is what ive heard about the ed/ea admissions from this years senior class (~500):
Cornell:11
UPenn:5
Brown:5
Yale:3
All other ivies:0

This is just ed though the valedictorian was defered from harvard i believe and there are other strong candidates in the RD round....Then of course there are 10+ NYUs, BUs, GW.....Do these numbers seem kind of rediculous lol

100% go to 4 yr colleges. Usually we have a variety of schools, the trend being toward Catholic colleges (makes sense, private catholic HS). Loyola MD and Villanova are the most common safeties students apply to. Hardly anyone applies/goes to state schools.
Don't know exact #s- Notre Dame, BC, Princeton, and Georgetown are very popular.

Yeah. Most end up at our local community college, the others go to various University of Wisconsin schools...but usually not Madison, because most of them can't get in. I think usually about 2/100ish end up at Madison, but most go to the Whitewater or Oshkosh campuses.

And then one or two go to private schools, and they are considered "snobbish" and "stupid for wasting their money".

I go to an overcrowed public high school in the middle of nowhere. Needless to say most of the students don't even go to college. However, most average students apply to universities in cities nearby. And the honors students, lately have been applying to Penn. Seems to me that Penn is really popular with many students.

Well unfortunately Taco Bell has seen a rise in applications in the past few years so it has made admission really competitive. With the advent of the Chalupa and Gordita, high school students have been applying in droves! The administration basically tells our students not to shoot for the stars and stay with the always dependable McDonald's. On a positive note, I hear they gain a lot at McDonald's and Burger King...weight that is.

Wow. I'm going to go and get my yearbook and compile my list, but seriously.

Some of you guys make me feel like I really do live in the Backwoods, Louisiana, and attend Podunk High School. Wow. I can't IMAGINE having 40 kids from a single class go to NYU!
