The UC English requirement

I have all of IGETC complete except the second English course, which is supposed to be completed by the end of this fall for fall 2012 admission. I am likely leaving the state though for an internship the entire fall semester and I may not be able to have this requirement done as a result. Is there any way UCSD can make my case an exception?

I think it’s nearly impossible, sorry man. You don’t want to ruin your dream just because of a critical thinking course. However, there are a lot of CCCs offer it online, and you can still take one while on an internship  I recommend taking it online at Foothill (English 1B) with this instructor [Valerie Fong - Foothill College - RateMyProfessors.com](Valerie Fong at Foothill College | Rate My Professors). Just took it with her last sem :D

impossible. but if you decide to wait another whole year it is possible

ignore the troller
@OP: FYI, I mean last quarter, not last sem lol. And you could also find lots of other Critical Thinking courses offered online at schools like De Anza, DBL, Ohlone, Rio Hondo, etc. There’s a lot of choices out there. In your case, I would definitely pick the easiest prof possible since you will have a busy schedule with the internship ;)

Great, thank you. The schools around me are all filled for their online english courses so I’ll look into other schools. :)

Are De Anza courses even UC transferable?

^ LOL you serious? Of course they do. Just pick the critical thinking course (ENGL 1B I think - I only take courses @ Foothill T____T). De Anza and Foothill haven’t even begun fall registration yet, so if you submit the application soon enough, you can still have a good registration day ;)
