So how are people taken off of the waitlist? Is it just the next people who would have been accepted? The closer I get to April 1st, the more I feel like I am probably going to be waitlisted.

The waitlist was intentionally long last year due to it being the first year of no ED. I don't know how many go off the WL but I believe it was a pretty small number.

Do you know how they choose to take people off of it?

I have no idea how it works at UVa.

I read some stuff back when I was applying and there was a story about how extremely rich people with high priced college consultants "negotiated" getting in off the wait list. These were usually HYPS and Duke etc.

Look at Al Gore's son, a C student who was suspended twice in school got into Harvard. What was so interesting about him, his drug arrest?

Sorry, I digress. Try not to worry about the waitlist. I know its hard to do but if I had to live last year over I would have worried less and had more fun.

The WL is not ranked. They will look at what kind of students they need to fill the class and choose accordingly. Usually the College is full first.

Okay thanks.
