ok so next year, i NEED to have:
german IIIH and ap physics C, HOWEVER since those two classes have such a limited amount of students and are almost never taken at the same by by any student, the dumb teachers just HAD to schedule the only german III and physics C class during fifth period.

what the heck do i do???? *** *** *** ***
hello i am already behind a year in foreign language (will have 3 yrs max), and since german is so uncommon, it is not offered online or during any other period!!
and then i am majoring in engineering in college and i love physics (had ap physics b this year) so it's my passion and i have an obligation to pwn ap physics c and the ap test

ap physics C is not offered online either

if i HAD to chose one, i'd deff go with ap physics c and not german, because honestly, i couldn't care about foreign languages and only take it because top schools require them

this sucks so bad....what do i do with foreign language theN???

advice!!! too bad i can't use a time turner like hermoine granger's

do i just switch to something stupid like spanish I if it's that important that i still do foreign language??
i got screwed over !!

Relax. I had schedule conflicts, too, senior year. I was supposed to take AP stats, but guess what? I ended up as an office aide… (in case you don’t know what this is- I deliver paper around the school for a class period) Just calm down and take the class you want to take.

ditto. same issue–but with multi-var calc and running.
guess what I’m choosing? running. why? because I’m not running in college but will be taking math in college, and figure I ought to enjoy my senior year.

Exactly, you didn’t think. Perhaps you should. Perhaps everyone should.

Sorry, I am a bit bitter right now about things like this because I am doing a research paper on mere CHILDREN who have killed themselves because of their sexuality. It is exactly things like that “that’s so gay” that drives homophobia in America and causes what I am researching.

I will stop now so that I will not hijack this thread. All I ask is that people watch what they say.

There’s got to be some place you could take either class online. If that doesn’t work talk to the language department about self-studying German.

Is there actually a direct correlation between people saying “that’s so gay” and homophobia? I always tell people to stop saying it if they are because it’s stupid, but I’d never heard of any study showing that it drove homophobia in America.

My HS, ranked in the top 100 publics in the country by both Newsweek and US News, is a 6 yr HS where students who enter in 7th or 8th grade are required to take 3 years of Latin. So, unless a student comes into the school late or continues with Latin, s/he is only going to ave 3 yrs of language. So I don’t think you should think of your planned 3 years as “behind.”
I think you should consider options besides online. For my 3rd year of modern language (oh how I wish I had stuck with Latin!) I’ll be taking a course at UCinci because I decided I would die of another year of French at my school. That could be a possibility.
But you’ve decided what you’re doing. There’s no going back. If Ivies reject you, it won’t be just because you dropped German, but if you end up rejected, you can always solace yourself with the thought that they did.

=[ i’m supposed to study 2 years of german in one year?? i mean, i wouldn’t even be ready for the ap german test after german 3 cuz german 4 is ap

i’m not too willing to give up german either…it is the only foreign language that interests me prob because of german history and the nazis…haha that’s pretty much why people choose german
anyone know any online schools that offer german?? thanks
