they've definitely made their decisions already!

no no no. it's killing me. my items bounced yesterday and ive been checking every 5 minutes since. i thought about calling and asking for a decision over the phone, anyone do that?

p.s. i feel like a dork for being the only person with their myspace page in the profile. come on people, why is everyone trying to be so anonymous?

haven't done that. too scared to.

shiba411: You sound like a great candidate for any of those schools. Best of luck to you on the rest of the decisions. We took our son to visit Tufts, Conn College, Middlebury, Wesleyan, BU, Northeastern, and University of Denver last August. He also visited Brown and Princeton. The liberal arts colleges were beautiful, but not a good fit for his math/science aptitudes. Right now he is doing a PG year at a New England prep - he has a late birthdate and we wanted to make sure that he really wanted to be 3000 miles and 3 time zones away from home! He doesn't have spectacular stats so he limited his out of state applications to NEU and University of Denver. Everyone is telling him that Boston is a wonderful town for college students and we've heard so many positive things about NEU that he has it in mind for his #1 choice now.

Glad you got to (or will get to) visit most of the schools before making your final decision. We're headed to Boston to tour NEU one more time in mid-April for one last visit before he pushes the button on his final (NEU) decision.

Again - best of luck to you getting in to the school of your choice!

I'm in NY.. my list disappeared tuesday, was able to log onto myneu wednesday and I got the letter today. As long as they give me a decent financial aid package (around the same as every other college has given me so far) I will be going to northeastern.

Thanks... Let me know when your son's Congratulations Letter comes up!

fresco: I don't even have a myspace...haha. Anyway, I've been checking myNEU wayyy too much as well. I'm only allowing myself to check every hour--still pretty obsessive, I know, but hey, it's progress!

kk, They meet only 64% of financial need. Of that 64% they split it between 52% grants and 48% loans.

Of course, this is an average, and not everyone will have a package with those percentages. Also, this is assuming no merit aid.

I'm from NYC. Just got my acceptance letter today.

this is so not fair. i applied on dec 1st and i check here everyday, my email, checkapplication on neu.edu...and nothing...
and my friend applied on late jan past the deadline, never checks the site or anything..and just got her acceptance by email.
this is frustrating. i'm calling admissions.

she got her acceptance by email?

yup...seems like internationals are getting it by email.

i wish they did that for everyone. waiting for the mailman everyday is just unbearable haha.

i bet!
i'm so frustrated.
this is so not fair.

This release process is soooo random. I wish we could crack the code haha.

fresco: I have a Myspace... but will I link it? I don't know haha.

P.S. You resemble a friend of mine.. a lot.

I AM CONFUSED!! Is there any significance at all of the choices disappearing or graying out? what does it mean? I haven't gotten a thing! Please help, this is really going to stess me out big time!

i have a myspace as well..and i actually have it linked in here too.

Kelly, The graying out is when you look at your major and cannot change it (first and second choice). This happened first for my son. Then several days later his list of what they have received disappeared- ie: application, test scores, recs, whatever else. A couple of days later you might be able to access myneu. A couple of days after that my son's acceptance was on myneu, but some people had the acceptance notice as soon as they had access to myneu.

i really think letters are sent out this way: Scholarships, Acceptances (alphabetically), Rejections

my last name starts with S so i figured thats why i havnt gotten it yet. unless i was rejected but who knows. Any non scholarship acceptances with last names after S?

so wait..........when you apply to the application status page, what does it say? congratulations, something like that? mine just shows the same page and something to the effect of the same old.....in review or something. for those of you who got snail mail was there any emails preceding the mail? i am just so confused and feel that with each day, my hopes are diminishing! anyone get a rejection yet via snail mail or email?
