things to do/eat/go around berkeley

I actually go to UCLA, but for this summer I have an internship at Oakland so I rented an apt around Berkeley from my cal friend.

It gets quite boring on the weekends since I basically just moved in here and I'm not familiar with the geography. What are some things that I can do/eat/go that's within walkable distance or accessible via BART? (I didn't bring a car with me here since I take the BART to work)

taking the bart to go out and eat by yourself on a holiday weekend is kind of a depressing story. please stop.

go party in oakland.

you can walk up to Telegraph and eat there or hit the bars on Shattuck. Take the BART and go to Chinatown in Oakland for some good grub. If you feel like taking a nice jog and a nice place to people watch, check out Lake Merritt, it’s 3-4 miles around depending on the route you take. Plenty of cuties whether you’re looking for females/males or even both  On Saturday, there’s always a farmer’s market over by Lakeshore/Grand.

Or you can BART into the city (San Francisco) too. Get off of Embarcadero and walk over to Fisherman’s Wharf or ride down to Powell and check out Union Square. You can go even farther to Mission and get some bacon wrapped hot dogs from the carts just like back at home in LA. If you want, you can take the Muni to Haight and Golden Gate park. There you can get some really good Brazilian food from Chachacha.

There’s plenty to do here :)
