Hey, i got rejected and called the school to ask is there was anything I could do as it is my first choice school. they told me that my application never got a comprehensive review as my gpa was 0.02 lower than the threshold for international students. however, throughout this year i have worked very hard to raise my marks, which means that my gpa is now well above the limit. i was wondering if anyone knew anything about appealing who could give some advice as i don't know much. i was also wondering what types of things they look for in the letter i have to write and what my chances may be. thanks sooo much!!!

Well, even though your GPA is higher now, that doesn't matter because they were looking at everyones GPA "at that time" only your 10th and 11th grade marks, they don't care about your 12th grade ones.

However, if there is anything you forgot to mention on your application, such as additional awards or leadership positions, you can appeal based on those and then also mention that you have a higher GPA now. It can never hurt to try, but only 7% or so are admitted on appeals.
