Well at least you only have to do it once. I had to do it once last year with my now Bucknell frosh, again this year with my H.S. senior, and I still have two more kids to go!

One of the best names over on the parent forum is wishitwere_april. ;)

haha quite alright, i understand the whole process is nerve racking. Best of luck!!

good news for all of you freaking out. i was talkin to a friend of mine who goes to bucknell, and he told me that he never got this letter, so obviously they admit people who they dont send this letter to.

I talked to a friend of mine too... She's a freshman at Bucknell this year and she got a 1330 on her SAT's and its one of highest in her hall. She said that people in Engineering had much higher SAT's, but she even knows of people who got around 1100's... Makes me feel kind of better about my 1280.

I just got a letter too. I hope the "preliminary readings" meant that they took a look at the entire application and not just test scores though.

I got a 33 on the act, 1450 on the sat (790E, 660M)...but then everything goes downhill a 3.3 gpa, 4th decile, etc.

your test scores are quite impressive, i wouldn't worry

everybody that got a letter. Be reasonable, they are not going to send you that letter and then reject you, the reason they tell you early is because if you're applying ED at other schools, they want you to know you have other options and to take that into consideration. If you got the letter your in, that's the point.

i hope you're right!!!
