Those Accepted to NASS

heh awesome. I guess all the USNA mail is just like the rest of the military. I just kind of figured that since they're in Maryland, it wouldn't be as slow as if they were in the middle of the Pacific.

Well thanks for the information. I look forward to the end of the 7-10 day wait. :)

So the official word on the registration form date is Postmarked by April 29? Does anyone have documentation on this or a link to something saying this? I finally made up my mind and chose Naval Academy SS over USAFA SS So I look forward to seeing you all there at Session III.

Also from those with past experience at SS, is swimming a big issue at NASS? I can swim decent, decently enough to save my life and maybe just a little bit more but thats about it. Will I have any trouble at NASS?

Yeah I recieved my acceptance letter 15 April and sent it in that day but also sent a letter explaining the 2 hour time slot for me to complete everything including the notary. They said it was no problem and not to worry about it.

FYI.. It did state clearly on the letter that you DID NOT Need to have it notarized.. Might save u some time and money.

tn48th: When I went I knew only a few things (not even real basics)---somewhat freestyle, dog paddle, holding my breath, and treading water. I did just fine.

Since then I did swimming for school (they let everyone with a decent amount of dedication on the team, but they knew I was just there to learn how to swim because I sink like a rock).

yeah i recommend swimming to anyone...its an incredible workout for both muscle strength and endurance and also cardiovasuclar strength. I swam for my first time this year and i put on 15 lbs of muscle in about a month..with the aid of some protein. I figure it can only help to make swimming at the academy easier and one less thing to be stressed about.
