1) Do all Fordham acceptance letters come in large packages and all rejections in small envelopes?
2) Will those who get accepted receive a brief email letting them know that they should expect their acceptance package soon (kind of like a preview/pre-warning type thing).
3) Does Fordham promise that we will receive our acceptances in the mail by Christmas, or that they will send them off by Christmas? If they send them off by Christmas, some of us will be waiting into the new year.

P.S All of these questions apply to the Early Action admissions period.

I'm in the same position as you, but I can try to answer your questions based on what I've seen/read.

Aceptees from last year said their acceptance packages did indeed come in large envelopes. MRoCkEd from the "Accepted 2012" thread said:

"The acceptance letter was in a folder, inside an envelope
AKA it's big enough that nothing had to be folded

There might be an email saying a decision has been made, but Fordham doesn't give decisions out online. We just have to wait until they come in the mail.

As far as I know, we will get our decisions by Dec. 25. The Fordham reps I've talked to, along with the website, say that decisions are mailed by Dec. 15. The only reason one might have to wait until the new year, would probably be if they didn't have all their materials in on time.

Hopefully we all get a great Christmas present this Dec 25. :]

This was our experience in December 2007 with regard to an EA application:

Acceptance arrived in a large envelope with a folder inside.
Acceptances arrived on Saturday, Dec 22nd for 95% of the EA schools d applied to, including Fordham.
D did not get an e-mail about her acceptance to Fordham prior to receiving the large envelope, so she found out she was accepted when the envelope arrived.

As someone who personally experienced this:

Acceptance letters came in a thick envelope the size of a standard sheet of paper.

Did not receive an email.

I received my notification about a month after the deadline.
