Tips/Advice on self-studying AP Chem

Thanks for all the tips for the prep books and such, and I asked my chemistry teacher about it, and he said that his class covered almost as much as the AP Chem class {as said by his previous student} at a different nearby school.

He's going to get me an AP Chem book from their school so I can study for it, but does anybody have a way they studied AP Chem? Especially self-studying? {Other than taking practice tests though}

I've also decided to get PR's AP Chem book, and my chemistry teacher recommended me not to take the SAT II Chem, since I'll be taking the Bio SAT II next year, and it will be much much much more easier than the AP test and I won't have a problem with it either. If I'm taking the Math IIC test as well as the US History SAT II test next year, is it a bad idea to take Chemistry SAT II at the same time? And is it bad to take more than 3 SAT II tests? Because if neither are bad, and if I'm taking the AP Chem test, wouldn't the SAT II test be easier? Or is the SAT II test and AP test different from each other and need different study tactics?

Thank you :)

If you're going to take the AP Chem test, and you feel confident about the material, go ahead and take the Chem SAT II. One more good score never hurt anyone. For SAT II review just buy an SAT II book (I recommend PR, it worked for me)

Otherwise, I don't really have any tips for self-studying.. I took a school course.

AP Chem is a pretty big test to study for. Most of the sciences are, even when you take a class they are tough.

I guess you could review the Cliffnotes and Princeton Review, but I'm not sure how you would do without a strong basic knowledge of Chem that you get in Class.
