Tips For First Time AP Taker?

I'm taking AP Chemistry and US History my junior year. This will be my first time ever taking AP since it is my school first time offering them. Even though everyone is telling me I'll do great, I can't help but feel like I'm unprepared. AP classes have a rep for being really hard and having a huge workload. Any tips on how I can successfully pass these two classes? Thanks in advance!

You got two of the biggest workload classes. Just keep focus and don’t even think about slacking off for even a single day (unless it’s like the weekend than you should have fun).

US isn’t that bad, it can just be really boring for someone who doesn’t love history. My best advice would be to get ahead. Buy AMSCO if you want, its basically a condensed textbook, and read some of it over the summer if you want a head start. Taking notes and paying attention throughout the year is the best prep you can possibly do for the exam. If you have a good teacher and you actively take notes for every chapter in the American Pageant, you should have no problem getting a 5.

Don’t procrastinate. That’s my biggest piece of advice. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it.
