last week i submitted a few early college applications and they are all i can think of. initially, i felt relief and a sense of satisfaction, but now i can’t stop thinking about december when decisions are released, if i should have added a sentence or two in my supplements or what my teachers wrote about me in my recommendations, just to name a few quarrels. if i wake up one more morning with these things fresh on my mind, i think i’m going to implode.
does anyone have advice for me (and i’m sure many others) on how to distract and keep oneself busy for the next couple months?
You are right, keeping busy is the key! ECs, hanging out with friends, hiking, watching movies or binging on Netflix, studying, baking, making art, volunteering.
This is a particular season in your life…it will pass quickly.
Realize this is your last year of HS, and take advantage of everything! GO to the Homecoming dance with some friends. See a football game if you never have. Join a club just for fun. Ask that girl/boy out to see a movie.
