<p>That’s unfortunate. I plan on majoring in engineering, but as far as I’m aware, applicants apply to the university, not the program. Would I have to apply to Swanson separately?</p>
<p>You could enter into the Dietrich School (the liberal arts college) and mirror the freshmen engr curric, then apply as an internal transfer to engr for your sophomore yr. It’s not guaranteed, though.</p>

<p>Yes. You apply to SSOE within Pitt. Their standards for admission are different than the standards for A&S which differ from Nursing, etc. Like many have said, you could apply into A&S and transfer into SSOE after your first year.</p>
