I'm taking a college class at a well-known ivy league school next semester. Should I notify Yale of that now or will it not make a difference..?

well they probably have already made their decisions by now…
i would wait until dec 15th. if you are accepted, then no need to send them anything. if you are deferred then it would definitely make sense to let them know. it wouldn’t make a difference at this point, unfortunately.

i asked the admissions office a while back and some person told me that it was “already fairly late into the EA decision-making process”. and i think that was a week ago…so most likely, the decision has probably been made

Do you have the name/ email of the admissions officer for your area?

if you do then I would suggest sending him/her an email. I received an important award a week ago and I got my admission officer’s email address and sent her an email a couple days ago telling her about it. She answered: “Thanks for the update. Congratulations.”

I mean realistically the decisions have probably been already made but I would still try.

My email went:
Dear Mrs. xxx,

I thought I would share with you that xxx. I do not know if this information is important for my application, but I am so motivated and interested in joining Yale that I would not want any information to be missing.

With my best regards and most sincerely,
AMSC

I put my application ID and name in the title of the email

hope this helps

Just send it to them. Update your profile whatever way you can. It is up to them to consider it or not. You won’t loose anything.

Go for it, you have nothing to lose!
