Towers Housing

It will show up in a couple of weeks. My daughter’s account isn’t showing the fall housing bill yet either but since it is due by August 7, I am sure it will be posted soon and then you will have your answer. When we saw the housing bill last year, we knew that DD got the 4/4 Tower’s room. She is currently there, finishing up summer A (she has her last final exam tomorrow).

Okay, I’ll keep checking!

New information on Tower’s parking permits for the 09-10 year:

Annual tower permits will go on sale July 27th. Tower permits will be available to be purchased and picked up at Garage D from August 17th to August 28th. The hours of operation will be 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

I called and what this means is you need to register online before you can pay in person on the 27th (Monday) of July. The online portal opens that day (prob at midnight). You can pay at Garage B but cannot pick up your actual hangtag until August 17th (Monday) at Garage D (near Tower 4). You cannot pay online for Tower’s permits. You can pay with a credit card over the phone BUT only if you can get through (it could take hours of redialing).

We will be out of town and so I am not sure if we should chance trying to do it by phone OR give a friend who is there for summer B the $500 in cash and my daughter’s UCF ID card to get her permit when they go for their own? Last year Garage G (the one that is for Tower 1 and 2) sold out pretty quickly. Garage E (for Tower 3 and 4) never sold out and even people who got there at noon still got spots on the first floor. A dilemma!

New information from the parking website:

OK RachelUCF- the fall housing bill is posted on your myUCF so you can see if you were charged for a 4/4 or a 4/2 apartment.

yay! i got a 4/4

The A and D rooms in the 4/4 have the bathroom in the bedroom whereas the B and C room bathroom is outside the bedroom (but the bedroom is a bit bigger).

I have C, but that’s ok because I’ve never had a bathroom in my room, even back home. lol

Does anyone know what the 2009-2010 parking permit fees (for Towers) are going to be yet?

they just posted it. it’s $475 and expires 8/15/10

Where is it posted? I couldn’t find it on the parking website.

[University of Central Florida Parking and Transportation Services](http://www.parking.ucf.edu/PermitFees.html)

thanks, for some reason when I do it myself (and not thru your link) I still get the old permit fee page!

^^^
S was just telling me yesterday the one thing he’s going to really miss about moving off campus in August is that parking garage space (well, besides rolling out of bed and getting to class in ten minutes if he has to). He’s going to miss getting into a car that’s not boiling in the inside from our lovely FL summer.

zebes, telling him he’ll finally have to get one of those reflective visor things ;)

I’m just glad they didn’t hike up the price

OK, the Tower’s Permit Registration is now active. If you are living in Towers for fall (only towers is active I think), go online and register for your permit. Then you need to go and pay on or after July 27th (either in person at Parking Services or you could try to call and pay with a credit card and pick up the permit later). Here is where you go. Don’t forget to print out the page (after you click submit) with your registration number and bring it with you to parking services.

Thanks for posting that! :] Do you request where you want your spot or do they just give you the next #?

You’re assigned a spot based on when you pay. Those who pay first get the lower levels. You cannot keep the same spot from year to year. Both years S payed fairly quickly and got outstanding spots.

zebes

how quick is quick enough?

I have no idea. I just know he payed as soon as the pricing became available.
