Hey, its my first time posting here and I’m hoping someone might be able to help me out. I received an offer of admission from Virginia Tech, which is fantastic but I saw that the letter said the offer may be withdrawn if I get a C or lower in my spring coursework. This is troubling me greatly because I am struggling in Calc 2 right now, and they only way I can get a B is if I get a 90 on my last test and my final. Am I in danger getting my offer rescinded? Any advice would be appreciated.
I would recommend grinding your ass off and making your teacher know you are.
I agree with @mrmagicman. You need to work very hard on calculus.
One thing to keep in mind: If you do anything in the “TEM” part of STEM fields, or in physics, then calculus is something that you are going to use a LOT in the future. You need to learn it well anyway. If you are headed for a “PTEM” field (physics, technology, engineering, or math), then you really should be able to get a 90 in your calculus final.
Isn’t the answer in the letter?
