karens - being on the blacklist means you are banned for life. Even if you go to a CC for a year, by the time you apply with your Social Security Number you’re screwed (that’s what they use most likely to blacklist people). Also just one year off in CC won’t help, you are most likely required to send a HS transcript to any schools you’re planning on attending for transfer admissions to either verify a HS degree, be notified of any academic probation/suspension/problems in the past aka cheating, and etc.

Also for the prestigous universities, you can apply to them but the likeliness of them blacklisting you too because of your HS record of cheating is a high chance of it happening.

I don’t think this is a ■■■■■. I think it’s one student (no sister) who has gotten herself in trouble. I don’t think she’ll ever get into a UC or any private that looks at HS record, and most do. I think a CSU is in her future. They and UCs, for those who have avoided getting on their black list, accept a lot of kids with issues.

this thread needs to get locked or something, its getting too much attention for its own good, and im sure the topics been beaten to deaths, theres tons of other topics that deserve attention over this one.

there is nothing shady about asking to bump up your grade. The teacher has the right to refuse and the fact that they were willing to help you shows that they must care about you and recognizes that you can succeed. Why would a teacher care about you? Because they like you. Plus, it’s not like I was getting 80% and they just “gave” me an A. I was getting above 87 for sure.

And I only received a C instead of an F in AP Physics because my teacher actually saw how hard I tried. He told me that some people just can’t understand physics… and I was one of them. Not my fault. Plus, I was only a junior when I was in AP PHYSICS C… which is probably the hardest AP test anyone can take.

That’s what my problem is with your situation. You were deserving of an F, but because you tried hard, you got a C. That sends the wrong message. A person’s grades should be indicative of their performance, and not of their effort.

Situations like yours are why people have such a problem with using GPA as an indicator of anything, Allison.

Damn it karen just let this ■■■■■ die, it wasn’t ever funny. How lonely are you?

Actually screw it I can’t wait until some nerds go ape***** when you mention Stanford after an expulsion. Oh and the correction about U Missouri being a public not a private. That is what you’re going for, right?

Weather this is a joke, or you are being for real, give it up.

There is no “prestige” in your future because you didn’t just “lie” but you literally tried to change your grade. That is serious and I’m sorry but it says a lot about your character. So stop wasting everyone’s time and do your own research. UC’s will not touch you and top private schools will roll their eyes at you.

So face reality, start calling CSU’s and look at where you stand with them. SD State would be an option if that’s where your from because that is your area or whatever. Cal Poly SLO is a not for sure. Or attempt small private colleges that need money. Possibly even religiously affiliated ones so you can write an essay on how you had no where else to go after your actions, which hopefully you will feel remorseful about by then.
