I was wondering whether or not there is an advantage (in terms of chances for admission) for updating your application sooner rather than later.
I ask this because one of my classes for this upcoming spring term might get cancelled due to under-enrollment, so I need to wait a little to find out what my schedule is actually going to look like.
Oh, and the deadline for the TAU is Jan. 31st right?

There’s no advantage, though you waiting to see if your course will be offered is certainly advantageous to you having an accurate application.

You can update it now, just to get it out of the way, and then make necessary updates through the end of the month if there are any changes with your schedule.
You may be able to update it past then, and I’m sure they wouldn’t hold it against you if your class got cancelled, but don’t count on it. UCSB’s portal suggested that one could log in and make necessary changes for quite a while, but it’s probably not a good idea to wait until then.
No advantage or disadvantage for admission.

Yeah nevermind. They want it by the 31st, but you can go into your app and change things past the deadline.
