Info about me:
GPA: 4.0
Major: Business
Transferring from: Junior College
Hours: About 34
Second Choice Major: Liberal Arts (Economics)
Applied: January 26, 2017, however, still had courses in progress so I had to send final transcript. Thus, making me wait till summer to hear back. I also only applied to UT, so I am detirmined but also stressed I don’t have a plan B.
I have been waiting and waiting to hear back from UT which has just made me extremely nervous. I was told it’d be decided by the 15th then told that it could be a week(S) later. I’m searching for blunt truths/potential reassurance. What are the chances I get accepted? When will I hear back? Any success stories with this same info?
I transferred in from ACC in the Fall of 2015 w/ 60 credit hours and a 4.0. I’m at 115 credit hours now, will be graduating w/ a BBA next semester.
Do you have all of the “business indicator courses” (Calculus 1&2, Macro and Micro economics) fulfilled? They will not consider you if you don’t. I didn’t find out that I was accepted into McCombs until a week before the Fall semester started… This was in part because I tested out of one of the business indicator courses and for some reason that didn’t get sent over on my transcripts, so I had to appeal my admission (they accepted me as undeclared w/o the missing course.) You will want to avoid appeals if you can, that was very painful. A lot worse than waiting to hear back form your application.
Best advice I can give anyone is to hold on to that 4.0 as long as you can, because you will need it to get in.
