Ah, okay. I was just wondering if there was a certain order with the notifications between general admission & departmental applicants. I don’t have a specific plan yet with my major, but if I’m admitted, I’m hoping to apply for my major in the fall. I have 91 college level credits, but they’re not all transferable. I think I’m close to applying for my major, according to the academic planning worksheet, but I’m not too sure yet. If I’m accepted I’ll probably try to talk with a transfer specialist because I’m still sort of confused about things, ha
Oh, and 85 credits is pretty significant amount so that shouldn’t be an unfavorable thing at all! Especially if they’re all transferable :)

does anyone have any experiences with transferring credits using narrative evaluations instead of a standard GPA?

@Kettles, Does your unofficial transcript college says UW-Seattle or UW-Tacoma?

I applied to Tacoma also and it says UW Tacoma, if your indicate Seattle then you’re in, if not then we will wait :)

I’m also a fall transfer waiting. I’ve got a total of 125 credits but I think only 115 are transferable anyway do you think I may be at a disadvantage with so many credits?

@SlicK21, I emailed UW-Admission about your question a few months ago and the answer is no, you won’t have a disadvantage and it will not affect your admission chances.

Where is your unofficial transcript located on your my UW??

@chaut21

When you log into MyUW click “Admissions” on the left side —> click "Unofficial Transcript on the right side.

Should it say Seattle when I applied to Tacoma? It says UW Tacoma under college. I know I need to just wait, I’m just so nervous :p

Aah me too! Haha I have over 90 but some just aren’t transferable. Well with departmental apps if you’re not a UW student for most of them you have to apply to the department as well as UW, so if UW gives the thumbs up, it just depends on when the department is done with reviewing the application. Good luck to both of us, I’m so nervous! :)

That sounds about right. I guess I probably shouldn’t be too concerned about applying to my major yet, though, since I don’t know if I’m accepted into the school. Also, when I spoke with a transfer specialist, they said that transfers can apply for general admission but they should keep in mind that they won’t be given a lot of time before they’ll need to apply to a major.

Good luck to you, too! Hopefully you’ll hear back soon. I’m nervous as well. There’s about one month left until the notification period I’m part of is officially open, though. Sounds like you’ll be hearing back any day!

So anyone already heard back from UW Seattle?

I received my acceptance letter to UW Tacoma today for the Fall quarter :)

congrats @kettles! did you apply for seattle too or only tacoma?

Nothing yet for me, but I can verify that they’re currently going through the applications. I applied for fall transfer to Seattle and got an email last week requesting a transcript that they were missing. While incredibly annoyed that my old school told me they’d sent it when they clearly didn’t, I’m thankful I had a spare official sealed copy and was able to send it straight to admissions without having to go through the whole process at my old school. Again.

Back to waiting!

@kettles, congrats! :)

weeee, feeling nervous :)

@essited, that was lucky. It took my CC, literally, a little over a month to send my transcripts because I had to mail them my request and my check; they didn’t have an online request or an electronic send either! So frustrating. Luckily, I haven’t received notice of them not receiving my transcript.

I only applied to Tacoma. Good luck guys :)

accepted into major, what are chances I won’t get accepted into UW/ will I hear back anytime sooner than June?

Whats your major? How could you apply to the major without getting accepted to the uw first? And when did you apply?
