<p>1000Bpm- I used my college’s course catalog that I found online to get the course descriptions. I’d suggest doing that if you can, since it sums up the class in 3 sentences and mine ended up being only 4 pages (and I have 63 credits)</p>

<p>bff - Well, it’s complicated. The education system here is amazing and really individual, but there is a frustrating lack of ethnic diversity on campus and being a minority student, I feel out of place. The school’s resources and facilities are also really limited (very little financial aid and most clubs/spaces are way underfunded) and the environment leaves much to be desired - Bronxville is very white, affluent and conservative and even though NYC is 30 minutes away I’d still much rather live in the city. </p>
<p>Barnard is in the city, it has the resources/facilities of a large institution because of Columbia but it still has the small, focused LAC feeling, it’s much more ethnically diverse, and I think the idea of learning with women is empowering and important (SLC has this awkward 75/25 breakdown between women and men).</p>
<p>nothing at my house either. Does this mean all of us are the batch that will be mailed out a week from now (May 12th)? God I hope not I dont think I can wait that long XD</p>

<p>i don’t think us not getting the mail yesterday means we’re the apr 12th group. it could just mean that they did standard mailing for us. so depending on where we live we might receive something between today and saturday.</p>

I can’t believe I didn’t find this thread before now - I’m actually a student in the Macaulay Honors Program at CUNY (Brooklyn College) so if I transfer to Barnard it’ll just be a subway ride away from where I am now. I ALSO have been calling my parents every single day to see if any mail has come from Barnard but NO DICE! Obviously, if it’s taking them so long to get all of these out they must be having some serious difficulty deciding between all of us lovely and very qualified women :)</p>
<p>Because Barnard and a few of my other schools are sending my responses so late, I already had to put down a deposit at the only school who required an answer by May 1, Smith College (obviously I gravitated towards the all women colleges for some reason haha), but I almost hope to lose it because being at Barnard would be such an amazing opportunity and you all seem so sweet and amazing!</p>

Im confused- if a batch was sent out on the 3rd, has nobody heard yet? That sounds odd to me. If anybody has heard, please let us know so we can freak out collectively. </p>
<p>Just a little about me since I’m new to CC- Barnard’s my first choice, applied to 5 other schools (1 Ivy other than Barnard, if you count it) and have been accepted to Skidmore. Still waiting on everyone else. My mailbox is so depressing. :(</p>

no mail yet, but called to update with the adm office (last time I called was this time last week lol so anxious) and they said they’re sure to send almost everyone something on the 12th. I didn’t inquire anymore if there have been any mailed this week at all, didn’t wanna ask anymore since next week will definitely be THE week for most of us! Haha also PaulaDanielle was that your mom who posted in the first page of this thread? :-)</p>
