@thewoman Haha yes susgeek is my mother. She’s more obsessed with the whole college process than I am and that’s saying A LOT. I’m actually her third child going to college so she definitely knows the ropes!

Ugh i hate waitingggg. Especially because I live in NYC!! So close, yet so far.

Thewoman- thanks about Skid!! Where else are you applying, or is Barnard your one and only? Maybe I’ll call Barnard tomorrow anonymously and bother them. I feel bad for the girls who answer the phone at admissions, they must feel bombarded by crazies.

Haha I completely agree I do not envy those girls. I called Boston College and the woman who was working there was the nastiest woman alive. However, I don’t think I can blame her. They all probably get the same questions 1000 times a day.

I am trying to come up with a really good excuse to call Barnard again too - I’ve already called 3 times for various kind of ridiculous reasons. :P

lol its so good to know that Im not the only one annoying the admissions office XD for a while I really thought it was just me

some part of me would just like to know if I got rejected. This waiting is getting me very anxious. This is becoming rather ridiculous, its almost mid-may. And I also want to say proper goodbyes to my friends at my current college if it is the case that I will not be back in the fall. I worry that by the time I get home to nyc that is when Ill find out. sighh and then ill have to tell everyone via facebook or something.

@PaulaDanielle

I go to school in NYC too and saw you on the BC transfer thread. Lol, we’re both applying to BC and Barnard (2 BC’s). :)

Haha I’m also applying FROM a BC (brooklyn college) lmao I can’t get enough of the BCs

I want to hear back from both so badly…although I really have my doubts about being able to get into Boston College. Is Barnard your top choice?

@1000Bpm did you get a response from Barnard about not sending in the course descriptions? I made the same mistake because I thought they asked for them if you were accepted. Is it too late? Thanks.

I don’t think that it will affect your decision if they didn’t ask for it. I’m sure that whatever courses you are taking could be explained well enough just by their titles and they’ll just ask for more in depth descriptions once you are accepted :)

@PaulaDanielle Thanks, I hope you’re right. I’m worried they’ll think I can’t even follow directions!

I did call admissions last week and they told me the same thing about the two mailings 5/3 and 5/12. Interesting nobody has heard yet.

I think it’s interesting too. I got the same information - and not even from the front desk; I emailed the dean of admissions and she gave me the same info. And yet NO ONE has heard yet. It’s a conundrum.

I think it’s because they were mailed at the end of the day on the 3rd. If no one has heard by the weekend, that’ll be really strange

Last year my friend was told her letter would go to her house but it actually went to her school (and arrived a week after their deadline). She finally called the admission office and was given her decision over the phone.

Yeah I’m pretty sure the other girls who go to school in NYC and I aren’t part of the May 3rd batch because we would have heard yesterday at the latest… That’s really weird, they’re sending decisions out later than normal this year. Still hoping for good news next week. And next week for sure! sighs

So I’ve been wondering - Did any of you try putting your code into the “admitted students” section of the barnard website? It didn’t take my code, but I’m curious if they’ve set anyone’s as "admitted:

[Admissions - Barnard College](http://barnard.edu/admiss/admitted_new/)

nope, just tried…but good idea!

I guess we’re just gonna have to wait it out until the 12th. Or…how about this tactic, perhaps?

has anybody been rejected yet? (from the batch on the 3rd) I know it may be difficult to say, but if you see this and could let us know, it would really be a great help. :(

It’s okay to do that right? Haha I know for many big universities they penalize people who do that but for a small college like Barnard it shouldn’t matter, ja? Also, absolutely nothing in the mail yet. I wonder who actually got mail or will get mail this week… There should be about 300 applicants and 80 acceptees, right? How many of us here in this thread? Let’s talk statistics… Hahaha!

Lmao that would be awesome if we all got in! I would be so shocked and thrilled at the same time:)

I would love that. Instant friends. Meet up in August. Party like rockstars. Um, let’s all please get in? Haha that’s also why we should do that thing people do on transfer threads! Like

PaulaDanielle - Insert major here (Pending)

thewoman - Insert major here (Pending)

Bla bla…

…Or would that make this thread seem less friendly and more cutthroat and obsessive? Hahahah!! I’m so scared and excited at the same time that we can find out any day next week already. AAAAHHH

Well except Monday probably. Or, well, I guess if the mailing out on the 12th really is what they’re strictly following, Thursday plz OMG

…Been legitimately nuts since Tuesday
