CONGRATULATIONS
Are any of you guys who have been accepted planning on staying on campus?

@ToreyPhilemon.
You’ll get in, don’t worry. I find that having something weighing me down can be used as a motivation, even though B’s are not a bad thing to have.

Congrats PrettyPeridot!

@collegetransf, relax, we are all wondering the same as you. In my opinion, with those grades, the only thing that will hold you back is if you’re coming from a University

@ToreyPhilemon- Thanks, I’m planning on staying on campus for Summer B :)

@juan56789 - Thank you :D

Yep my grades are good but i think my essays werent that good, and i haven done much extracurricular activities. Im transferring from a Florida CC but i still have 3 prerequisites in progress. chm, phy and bio. My friend, who is also applying to engineering, told me that he called admission and they told him they will start reviewing applications after march 31 :(

After almost 3 weeks my status changed to: “Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Summer B 2012 term has been referred to your college for a final decision.”

Accepted!!!

^congrats!
What college and term did you applied?

Congrats on getting in!

I have a question on my summer term. On my application for UF, I said that I’ll be taking MAP2302 and BSC2010 during the summer at Broward College (local CC). When I went to apply, MAP2302 is being offered far away from my home. I applied to Miami-Dade College (also close to my home) to take the same classes. Do you think UF will mind where the credits come from as long as i complete these pre-req’s? I just wanted to ask you all since I can’t speak to admissions before friday.

I applied to the College of Health and Human Performance for Fall 2012. I am so excited! It was the only school I applied to.

@juan56789
I dont think they mind. I have taken CAL I, II and III and PHY I at Miami Dade College because Broward College didnt have classes that fit my schedule. They only had those classes at BC north campus which is far away from home… I think you just have to sent the transcripts from both institutions.

I e-mailed the academic adviser for engineering and she said it didn’t matter.

Yea they only care that you have them done. Have they said anything about the applications?

Is anyone still waiting to find out if you got in or not…If so, for what program

No word on when they’ll look at them :/

I checked on the Fall 2011 term transfer thread and engineering transfers were receiving their decisions around mid April.

I applied to the college of engineering for the summer term and havent heard back yet. A friend of mine applied to the college of engineering for the fall term and was admitted yesterday even though she was told last monday when she called that they were going to start reviewing fall apps in two weeks. weird!!!

Since engineering allows the departments to give input about who they would like admitted - students in different majros tend to find out at different times.

@collegetransf - can you plz tell me what kind of engineering she’s majoring in? maybe little bit about her stats too? if you and your friend don’t mind…

same status from last 3 weeks “Application has been referred to your college for final decision”. Applied in mid January to CLAS or CALS (I forgot which one) for Pre-professional. Transfer from CC. When i contacted the department lady, she said that they are still reviewing summer applications.

I think you applied to CALS because CLAS is making decisions right now for fall. They told me once they receive your application they will make a decision in 2-3 weeks.
