(transfer issue)Taking classes in two different colleges at the same time

I am currently enrolled in Foothill. Suppose I have to finish taking all those prerequisites before the end of Fall in order to apply for those UCs. Unfortunately, I have to drop the math online class I am taking which makes me unable to complete all the prerequisite requirement. I am taking part in the honors institute so I have 4 classes (18 units in total) to take the coming quarter, which means I cannot take math in Fall as the maximum units is 21.5 and I am not eligible to take over 21.5 units at Foothill as I have never complete a single quarter with 18 units at Foothill before.

I wonder if I can take math in De Anza.. and does anyone know how do they count the unit when you apply to UC?
Also, can I fulfill the IGETC requirement if the math class is taken at DeAnza?

Please help!

Page 36 - Unit Load Limitations: http://www.deanza.edu/publications/catalog/pdf/dac_catalog_2011-2012.pdf

You only need to have completed 12 units at FHDA (Foothill-De Anza), not withdarwn from more that 1 course the previous term, and then file a petition to exceed 21.5 units through the Counseling and Advising Center.

So yes, you should be able to take the Math req in the Fall at DA. You can speak to a counselor at FH just to be sure that their policy allows this, but both schools fall under the same parent umbrella, so i don’t see why they wouldn’t.

Best of luck.

EDIT: You should be able to so long as you have 12 units completed by the start of Fall.
