Ok so in high school I was accepted to NYU and Fordham and I decided to go to Rutgers (I really don't know why) but now I want to transfer out. My first semester I got 3 B+'s and 1 C which brought down my GPA. However, the C was in a Biology class and I've decided I don't want to pursue Biology anymore. If I do good second semester will I be able to transfer out or no?
-Any advice is appreciated

That would put your gpa at 2.97 assuming they are all 4 credit courses. You would need at least a 3.5 to be competitive. If you got a 4.0 your second semester you would would have a better chance, but if you were able to repeat that for your 3rd semester then apply, you would have a far greater chance.

Depending on your credit hours, some schools look more at high school grades and test scores than your collegiate grades. Also, if you were accepted once, most schools allow you to do an easier application for ‘re-admittance’
